'Bridgerton' fans go wild as Nicola Coughlan reunites with Luke Newton at SAG Awards: ‘Best in the world’

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fans of ‘Bridgerton’ are still shipping Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton’s fictional love story as they went wild after the duo reunited at the 31st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards at Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall.

Coughlan played Penelope Featherington in the hit Netflix series who was romantically involved with Newton’s Colin Bridgerton. 

Their chemistry was so good that many speculated that they were together in real life too; but it was dismissed after the Irish actress recently revealed her relationship with boyfriend Jake Dunn.

Now on Sunday, February 23, Coughlan and the 32-year-old actor had a cute meetup during the award function, leaving their fans jumping in joy, as reported by The Irish Star.

The cast of ‘Bridgerton’ was nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. The 38-year-old actress also received a nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for her role.

As per videos posted on X, Coughlan was giving an interview to a reporter before the event when she was approached by Newton.

The two warmly hugged each other before the ‘Derry Girls’ star complimented him. Newton also praised her look. Coughlan was seen wearing a light blue dress along with a pair of leather black gloves.

The publication reported that when the reporter asked Newton, “You and Nicola, besties for life?” he immediately replied, “Yeah, always.”

Meanwhile, fans can’t stop gushing about them, whom they lovingly called Polin, as one wrote, “They are crazy gorgeous together!!!”
