Internet slams idea of casting Selena Gomez as Britney Spears

Many people on the internet seemed to disagree with the idea that Selena Gomez would be a good choice to portray Britney Spears in her upcoming biopic.

A user wrote on X, "“High on the list” The bar must be low. No offense but NOTHING about Selena gives Queen Britney," while one added, "Selena Gomez???? When Addison Rae is right there???"

A person also stated, "No shade against Selena but if someone is going to play Britney they should at least look like her," whereas one mentioned, "Nooooooo this makes zero sense?? It needs to be an unknown person or else she’ll never be able to transcend the character sorry."

A user also wrote, "Even Miley Cyrus would be a better pick in my opinion," while one commented, "Absolutely the f*** notttttt thanks in advance."

An X user also mentioned, "Many people obsessed with Selena, not even a top 15 and she is old for the role," whereas one added, "This has to be a joke."

A person also wrote, "Lol. Dylan Mulvaney would be a better pick."
