Britney Spears calls out Justin Timberlake for talking 's**t',  asks him to 'go home crying to your mom' like last time

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears is not holding back her feelings about her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake who recently dissed her on the stage.

The pop star took to Instagram to challenge him to a basketball game and mock his tears, PageSix reports. 

“Someone told me someone was talking s**t about me on the streets !!!” Spears, 42, wrote on Thursday, February 1, alongside a stock image of a basketball hoop.

“Do you want to bring it to the court or will you go home crying to your mom like you did last time ???” she said, adding “I’m not sorry !!!”



 

 

The 'Toxic' singer was referring to Timberlake’s performance in New York City on Wednesday night, January 31, where he sang his 2002 hit 'Cry Me a River' which was inspired by Spears cheating on him during their relationship.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize to absolutely f*****g nobody,” the 'NSYNC' alum, 43, told the audience before launching into the song.

The feud between the former couple, who dated from 1999 to 2002, reignited after Spears released her memoir 'The Woman in Me' in October 2023.

In the book, she revealed that she had an abortion during their relationship because she got pregnant which Timberlake was not happy about.

She wrote that it was “one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life” and that “Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.”

She also wrote that she regretted the decision and that she loved him and hoped to have a family with him one day.

“I don’t know if that was the right decision. If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father,” she wrote.

Despite the harsh words, Spears also showed some love for Timberlake’s new song 'Selfish' which was released in January 2024.

She shared a clip of him and Jimmy Fallon performing the song with classroom instruments on 'The Tonight Show' and apologized for some of the things she wrote in her book.

“I wanna apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book. If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry," she wrote on her Instagram which has gone private. 

"I also wanted to say I am in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song ‘Selfish.’ It is soo good and how come every time I see Justin and Jimmy together I laugh so hard ??? Ps ‘Sanctified’ is wow too,” she wrote.

However, her fans were not impressed by her compliment and decided to stream and buy her 2011 track 'Selfish' to prevent his single of the same name from topping the charts.
