According to TMZ, Britney Spears' teenagers have been in touch with their grandfather through calls every couple of weeks.

This development comes after the boys showed their support for Jamie following his severe medical issues in 2023, including a major infection that led to the amputation of his leg.

Britney's sons have expressed a desire to meet him in person, which hasn't happened in years. As of now, it's unclear whether Britney is aware of her sons' plans. It is speculated that she might not approve, given the contentious relationship she shares with her father.

Meanwhile, Jamie also hopes to reconnect with other relatives in Louisiana during this visit with Sean and Jayden. 

Sources have confirmed, "This is all part of early discussions, and there is not an exact timetable on when the trip will take place." Insiders also revealed that both Kevin Federline and Jamie are keen to ensure the best for the boys, given that Kevin and Jamie are currently on good terms. 

Notably, Jamie became his daughter Britney's conservator and took control of her life after Britney's public breakdown in 2007. The conservatorship was meant to be temporary, but it lasted about 13 years and ended in November 2021.

The pop star has been highly critical of how Jamie managed the conservatorship, accusing him of abuse and mistreatment. They fought a legal battle over it, and eventually, they settled. Jamie did not pay Britney anything, but she ended up covering his $2 million legal bills.

Britney revealed in her memoir 'The Woman in Me' how her dad was ‘barred’ from seeing her sons following a dramatic incident that ended up with her then-husband, Kevin Federline, filing a police report.

She has written about a time when she was still under the conservatorship, saying: “That August, my father was arguing with Sean Preston, who was thirteen at the time. My son went to lock himself in a bedroom to end the fight, and my dad broke down the door and shook him. Kevin [Federline] filed a police report, and my father was barred from seeing the kids.”
