Britney Spears says she's 'excited' her memoir 'The Woman in Me' is being turned into biopic

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears' hit memoir ‘The Woman in Me’ is being turned into a biopic.

The rights were bagged by Universal Pictures in a "highly competitive auction," according to a press release.

The film will be directed by Jon M Chu and produced by Marc Platt.

The Grammy Award winner announced over X account, “Excited to share with my fans that I've been working on a secret project with #MarcPlatt. He’s always made my favorite movies … stay tuned 🌹🎥”

Spears’ memoir opens up about her rise to fame, conservatorship experience, past relationships, and other subjects, reports TMZ. 

Actress Michelle WIlliams was the official narrator of the audiobook edition of ‘The Woman in Me.' The ‘Toxic’ singer introduced herself at the beginning of the audiobook.

"This book has been a labor of love and all the emotions that come with it,” Spears previously said in a statement. 

"Reliving everything has been exciting, heart-wrenching, and emotional, to say the least. For those reasons, I will only be reading a small part of my audiobook," she added.
