Brittany Mahomes revealed the suggestion during an interview published on January 16, sharing how Sterling’s love for 'Frozen' inspired her to suggest naming the baby Elsa.
“My daughter wants me to name her Elsa,” Brittany Mahomes told Today in the interview.
“She was set on it for a while, but obviously we’re not doing that!” Brittany added.
Although Sterling’s suggestion didn’t make the final cut, Brittany shared that choosing Golden’s name was not an easy task.
“We went back and forth for a while,” she said and continued, “But the one we settled on, we really, really love.”
The name aligns with their pattern of choosing names inspired by elements, continuing a thoughtful family tradition.
Brittany Mahomes' son Bronze was excited for 'baby sissy'
As Golden’s arrival approached, Brittany Mahomes shared how their 2-year-old son, Patrick 'Bronze' Mahomes, expressed his excitement.
“All he says is ‘I want baby sissy', and then he’ll ask to see my stomach,” Brittany said.
“Although I’m not sure if it’s registered that an actual human is coming. And Sterling is completely obsessed. She loves to play with babies," she said.
Patrick Mahomes also shared his thoughts on his growing family during a January 14 press conference, expressing his joy about having another daughter.
“It’s cool to welcome another baby girl in our family and see how my other kids react to her,” Patrick Mahomes said before adding, “Having baby sissy and stuff like that—it’s been a lot of fun.”
Patrick Mahomes says he's 'good with three' for now
Despite the happiness that Golden’s arrival has brought to the Mahomes family, Patrick Mahomes hinted during the interview that their family expansion might pause for a while.
“I’m good with three for right now,” Patrick shared. He also mentioned his future plans, saying, “My goal was always three. So, we’ve had three. And we’ll stick there for a while and see if we need to come back and get another one later on.”
The high school sweethearts, who tied the knot in 2022, continue to balance their family life while excelling in their respective careers.
Brittany appreciates Patrick’s understanding nature, saying, “If I’m complaining or I’m in a bad mood, he gets it. He’s not gonna argue with me. He’s not gonna push my buttons. He knows.”
