Cara Delevingne is 'devastated' after her LA mansion burned down

Delevingne's parents Pandora Delevingne and Charles Delevingne were right by her side to console her following the tragedy.

Addressing the situation, her parents who are currently with her in London revealed that an electrical fire spiraled out of control due to high winds in the area.

As seen in a video published by TMZ, Charles who was standing in line for Delevingne's Cabaret performance at the Playhouse Theatre that same night told a videographer that the "power lines" caused the massive fire.

"Very windy there," he said and Pandora added that their daughter is "devastated" over the loss of her cherished home base.

"She had everything in her house—her whole life. She built it. She made it," she shared.

Addressing the massive fire, the Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson stated, "Firefighters arrived to find a 6,650 square foot two-story home built in 1971, with heavy fire in the rear, which consumed one room in the rear and developed into a deep-seated attic fire."

"Crews confirmed all occupants were out of the home and then pulled back into defensive mode due to the long duration of heavy fire exposing the structural members. The house subsequently sustained a roof collapse, as firefighters continued to apply hose streams from the exterior," the spokesperson said of the incident which took place at around 4 am.

94 firefighters were deployed to extinguish the flames which took them more than two hours.

One firefighter was shifted to the hospital and was listed in fair condition while another individual required treatment for smoke inhalation.

Following the fire, the 31-year-old shared that her cats had survived the fire. She expressed gratitude to first responders "from the bottom of my heart" for their hard work.

"My heart is broken today. I cannot believe it. Life can change in the blink of an eye so cherish what you have," she wrote on her Instagram Story.

The actress' mansion which was featured in Architectural Digest in 2021 was bought in 2019 for $7.8 million.

"It's sort of like an adult playhouse," the 'Paper Towns' star said in a 2021 home tour.

"Hugh Hefner was a big inspiration for this house, this kind of feels like my Playboy mansion," she said at the time.
