Brooke Mueller 'cooperated' with cops investigating Matthew Perry's ketamine overdose death, says source
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Charlie Sheen's ex-wife Brooke Mueller was reportedly a part of the police investigation that resulted in charges against five people involved in Matthew Perry's tragic overdose death.
According to People, Dr Salvador Plasencia, Dr Mark Chavez, Perry's live-in personal assistant Kenneth Iwamasa, and 'Ketamine Queen of Hollywood' Jasveen Sangha were among the five individuals charged in the actor's death on Thursday, August 15.

Once famous in Hollywood for her marriage with Charlie Sheen, Brooke Mueller became embroiled in a federal probe that would ultimately dismantle a prominent drug trafficking organization.
The 'Friends' star, 54—who died on October 28, 2023—and Mueller had both previously visited a drug treatment center in the Los Angeles region.
According to TMZ, Mueller, 47, "aided in the police investigation" into Perry's death in October 2023, due to her connections to both Jasveen Sangha, 41, and Erik Fleming, 54.
According to the prosecution, Sangha sold Perry the narcotics that killed him, and Fleming delivered them to Perry. As a result, both were detained in relation to the actor's death in October 2023.
Prosecutors claimed that Sangha had been selling drugs that killed Perry out of her North Hollywood, California home, including ketamine in court documents obtained by the Associated Press.
Sangha has pleaded not guilty to the charges, but a magistrate judge has ruled that she should stay in detention. If found guilty, Sangha may spend the next decade to life in jail.
She faces five counts of ketamine distribution, one count of possession with the purpose to distribute methamphetamine, one count of possession with intent to distribute ketamine, one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine, and one count of keeping drug-involved premises.
According to the outlet, Mueller and Fleming had a "super close" relationship, and she had known Perry for years and met Sheen at one of his parties.
Perry's friend Fleming, 54, entered a guilty plea to one count each of conspiracy to supply ketamine and distribution of ketamine resulting in the actor's death.
The prosecution declared that Fleming would get ketamine from Sangha and provide it to Perry's live-in personal assistant, Iwamasa, reported Daily Mail.
Prosecutors alleged that Fleming, who could spend up to 25 years in jail, supplied Perry with 50 vials of ketamine, of which 25 were given to the actor just four days before his death.
Brooke Mueller 'cooperated' with cops probing Matthew Perry's death
The information Brooke Mueller provided during the voluntary interviews and the data recovered on her devices were crucial in assembling the case against Sangha and her colleagues.
The subsequent arrests and charges might not have been possible without Mueller's assistance. TMZ stated that while Mueller was at a treatment center in March of this year, her cell phone and computer were seized by the authorities looking into Perry's death.
According to the outlet, authorities had proven to a judge that they had sufficient reason to investigate Mueller's property, which allowed them to get a search warrant for it.
Mueller "cooperated with authorities and helped their investigation," a source told TMZ, adding that Fleming's indictment was the result of the information she provided.
According to TMZ, Mueller has not been detained in relation to the case, a source told the publication that she has not testified before a grand jury and that she was not given immunity before interacting with law officials.
Iwamasa, 59, one of the three other persons detained in relation to Perry's death, entered a guilty plea to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine causing death and was sentenced to 15 years in jail.
Dr Mark Chavez, 54, has pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine. Ketamine that Chavez had previously acquired by forging a fake prescription was sold to Plasencia, who subsequently sold it to Iwamasa.
Dr Salvador Plasencia was taken into custody on August 15 and charged with one count of ketamine distribution conspiracy, seven counts of ketamine distribution, and two counts of falsifying or tampering with federal investigation-related documents or records.
Perry was discovered unconscious in his Los Angeles home's hot tub and was pronounced dead immediately after paramedics got on the scene.
According to the autopsy report, released in December 2023, the amount of ketamine in Perry's blood was commensurate with the amounts used for general anesthetic during surgery.
