Bruce Willis' daughter Scout posts adorable pic with her father amid his dementia battle

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bruce Willis' daughter Scout Willis took to Instagram to reflect on her life's journey in 2023 by posting a series of photos.

But one photo that stood out was Scout sharing a sweet moment with her superstar father, who is struggling with dementia currently, HELLO! reported.

The picture showed the 32-year-old actress laying her head on Bruce’s chest as he appeared to be lying on a bed.

It also showed the ‘Pulp Fiction’ actor and his daughter lovingly looking at each other.

The now-removed post was captioned as 'BIG YEAR FOR SCOUTER WELCOME TO THE JOY'.

Bruce shares three daughters, including Scout, with his first wife, Demi Moore.

The ‘Die Hard’ actor and Moore were married from 1987 to 2000.

Later, the retired star went on to marry Emma Heming Willis in 2009 and also welcomed daughters — Mabel Ray Willis, 11, and Evelyn Penn Willis, 9 —- over the years.

‘16 years with this special man’

In late December 2023, Bruce and Emma marked 16 years of their romance.

The 45-year-old model wrote on Instagram, “16 years with this special man. My love and adoration for him only grows 🤍,” along with two lovely photos of herself with ‘The Fifth Element’ star.

The post received hundreds of thousands of likes with a user saying, “Congratulations on your 16th year together ❌⭕️❤️ I am praying for your miracle for a treatment that will help you and that they find a cure so you can kick this illness for good. I don’t know much about it but my thoughts and prayers are Forever ♾️ Always with all of you and your entire beautiful family 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼 Merry Christmas to you and your family.”

Another one wrote, “Emma, I don't know if you are able to read this with so many comments but I want you to know you are an inspiration. I am a nurse, and a caregiver at home, and look up to your strength in hardship and see your love shining through for Bruce and your family. Thank you for this❤️.”

“What a compassionate woman to her husband. That's Love ❤️ kisses after the.. Great person... Be happy and always taken care of ❤️,” the third user added.

Bruce Willis’ family statement regarding his diagnosis

This came almost a year after Bruce’s family issued a statement, updating fans regarding his health.

The statement read, “Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD)."

“Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.”

It continued, “FTD is a cruel disease that many of us have never heard of and can strike anyone. Today there are no treatments for the disease, a reality that we hope can change in the years ahead.”

“As Bruce’s condition advances, we hope that any media attention can be focused on shining a light on this disease that needs far more awareness and research,” the statement added.
