Caitlyn Jenner’s pal Sophia Hutchins’ mangled ATV seen in ravine as photos reveal crash aftermath

MALIBU, CALIFORNIA: Distressing pictures have shown the site where Caitlyn Jenner’s friend, who was also her manager, Sophia Hutchins, died following a tragic ATV accident near the media personality’s Malibu home. The incident occurred at 11.30 am on July 2, a quarter of a mile south of Decker Edison Road where Jenner lives.
The businesswoman was 29 when she was announced dead on July 2. The pictures from the accident site showed a blue all-terrain vehicle (ATV) on top of an old and rusted vehicle that seemed to have previously fallen there.

Sophia Hutchins died at site of accident
Sophia Hutchins was reportedly riding that ATV when it hit a moving car before diverging from the road and plunging nearly 350 feet down into a steep ravine.
After emergency personnel arrived, Hutchins was announced dead at the scene. A search and rescue team rappelled down the cliff to recover her body.

Sophia Hutchins was 'speeding' in the ATV
Investigators revealed that Sophia Hutchins was speeding in the ATV she was driving when she rear-ended another vehicle on the winding Malibu road and plunged to her death off the cliff below, according to the Daily Mail.
Hutchins is believed to have been traveling at a rapid rate on the southbound steeply inclined Decker Canyon Road in a black and blue-colored 2013 Polaris ‘side-by-side’ when she slammed into the gray 2016 Mazda 6. There were two females in the Mazda.

"It looks like she may have been speeding and rear-ended the other car, the other party, and then that caused her to veer to the right and go off the cliff," said Sergeant Eduardo Saucedo of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Furthermore, Sergeant Saucedo shared, "It doesn't seem like she was following them. I think she just she came up on them and then hit the car. So it looked like she tried to maneuver to go around it, but she was going too fast and just ended up clipping the rear end of that Mazda, causing her to veer off and go off the cliff there."

Saucedo said he believes the former Olympian did come to the accident site while Sheriff's deputies were on scene. The Daily Mail also reported that Jenner, 75, was only able to say she was going through ‘tough times’ as she processed the death of her longtime friend and manager.
Saucedo also told the outlet that Hutchins' damaged ATV had been left in the ravine because the "tow company didn't have a line that was long enough to attach it and pull it up." Toxicology results are pending, and it remains unclear if drugs or alcohol played a role, officials said.
Sophia Hutchins had called Caitlyn Jenner ‘a parent' figure
“And Caitlyn’s like, I gotta sign off on him. It’s very parental, very protective. We’re family. It’s an interesting family situation. All of my family is,” she added at the time.

Then again, in 2021, Hutchins asserted to PEOPLE that she does not “want controversy. I am just trying to live my life. Caitlyn is a parent to me. I have said that a million times.”
“It is a parental, familial relationship. I feel so blessed and humbled to be a part of such an amazing family and that she treats me like a daughter. I feel blessed that we are able to work together. There's no hanky panky. I feel like I've been saying that for the past five years,” she had added.

Also, in a now-deleted post, Hutchins wrote, "Love the whole LGBT community but so tired of rumors that I am romantically with Caitlyn. I am only ever with men and only ever have been. Stop the rumors! It's been years."
