Speaking at the Berlin premiere of their action-comedy film on Wednesday, January 15, Diaz described the incident as a deeply unsettling experience for everyone involved.

Speaking to Extra, Cameron Diaz said, “For every person who knows Jamie, it was terrifying."
"For everybody who loves Jamie—the world—everybody was concerned. I can’t even imagine how he feels,” she shared.
In April 2023, Foxx suffered a brain bleed that led to a stroke while on set with Diaz and Glenn Close.

While reflecting on the emotional toll of his experience, Foxx said, “For a while, everybody was crying. Snoop was crying! I was like, ‘Crips don’t cry, brother—c’mon!’”

Diaz praised Foxx for his courage in publicly addressing his journey. “I’m so proud of him for how brave he was to do his show, to let us all know,” she said.

During a taping of 'The Graham Norton Show', Jamie Foxx spoke candidly about his recovery process, revealing that he initially thought he was “being pranked” when he learned he had lost 20 days of memory following the stroke.
“It felt beyond crazy,” he shared, according to People.
“I knew I had to get back, and I realized the way to do it was by being funny. I told so many jokes, people thought I was mad,” he added.
Foxx’s humor extended to impersonating others during his recovery.
“For three whole days, I was Denzel Washington,” he joked.
Despite the challenges, Foxx expressed gratitude for the love and support he received from friends and family, crediting them for helping him return to work.
“I was very unwell, but now I am back feeling good,” Foxx said. “It makes you realize that you need people who care and love you around to get you through it.”
