Cameron Diaz says 'everybody loves' Jamie Foxx as she quashes rumors that he made her quit acting
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Cameron Diaz is clearing up the confusion that Jamie Foxx was “making everyone miserable” on the set of their upcoming movie ‘Back In Action’ and that she wanted to quit acting.
During an appearance on the latest episode of ‘Lipstick on the Rim’ on Tuesday, December 19, Diaz squashed all the rumors of the actor’s allegedly poor behavior and declared that everyone on the set “loves him,” per Variety.
Cameron Diaz says Jamie Foxx ‘is the best’
Cameron Diaz appeared on the podcast and praised Foxx for his exuberant presence on the set of ‘Back in Action’. The 51-year-old actress opened up about speculation that Foxx was “making everyone miserable” on set while addressing the rumor “that I was never gonna make another movie again because of him.”
The ‘Charlie’s Angel’ star shared in the interview, “I really hate all of the things that were being said about our set at the time.”
She continued, “You just want to scream at the top of your lungs, like, ‘What are you talking about?’ … Jamie is, like, the cheerleader for the entire crew.”
Diaz continued to be the vocal supporter of Jamie saying, “Everybody loves him. We have so much fun on the set with him and he’s just a professional on every level.”
Diaz, whose last film before starring in ‘Back in Action’ was in 2014, also added that she “had a blast” working with Foxx on the flick.
She went on to say, “Jamie is the best. I love that guy so much. He’s such a special person and he’s so talented, so much fun.”
She also accepted, “The hiccups that happened throughout production are the natural kinds of things that happen. But nothing got delayed other than, obviously, toward the end.”
However, Diaz refused to comment on Foxx’s mysterious illness that kept him hospitalized for months. She said, “That’s something that is not my place to speak about,” the ‘Bad Teacher’ star added the Oscar-winning actor is “thriving” now.
She continued, “When I see and hear people trying to take another person down like that … [Jamie is] so classy. He’s like, ‘Nope. Just let them [talk],'” before adding, “Still, it just really made me angry.”
Incidentally, Diaz worked with Foxx in the 1999 sports drama 'Any Given Sunday' and 2014’s 'Annie' remake before reuniting again in the action film.
'Jamie is one of the good ones'
As Diaz's comments on the matter went viral, a section of the fans came in full support of the 'Knight and Day' actress and Jamie Foxx. However, another faction defended the rumors saying limited information gives rise to speculation.
One fan said, "Jamie is one of the good ones."
Another fan, however, remarked, "Well that’s what happens when you don’t tell people what’s going on. They speculate."

Jamie Foxx says 'I wouldn't wish what I went through on my worst enemy'
In early December, Foxx spoke about his illness while attending the Critics Choice Association's Celebration of Cinema & Television: Honoring Black, Latino and AAPI Achievements Awards in Los Angeles where he received a standing ovation.
Foxx said, "I want to thank everybody. I've been through something. I've been through some things," before adding, "It's crazy, I couldn't do that six months ago. I couldn't actually walk too....It feels good to be here. I cherish every single minute now. It's different," per OK! Magazine.
He continued, "I wouldn't wish what I went through on my worst enemy, because it's tough when you almost... When it's almost over, when you see the tunnel," and added, "I saw the tunnel. I didn't see the light! It was hot in that tunnel so I didn't know where I was going. S**t, am I going to the right place? I seen the devil goin 'C’mon, now.'"
The 'Ray' actor noted, "My sister and my daughter were so great at not letting anybody know anything that happened," before adding, "I want to say six months ago I couldn't fathom that this could happen or that I would be here, but as I walk up here to this microphone and get this Vanguard Award, all I can say is 'Lord, have mercy, Jesus.'"
