‘Can’t wait to see her again’: Joy Behar excited for Marjorie Taylor Greene’s return to 'The View'
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Joy Behar is already clearing her calendar for Marjorie Taylor Greene’s return on 'The View.'
The longtime co-host says she “can’t wait” for the former Georgia congresswoman to return to the daytime talk show, especially after Greene’s very public break with President Donald Trump and her sudden exit from Capitol Hill.
Greene is slated to appear on 'The View' on Wednesday, January 7, just two days after her final day in Congress.

On Tuesday’s episode of 'Behind the Table,' the podcast hosted by 'The View' co-hosts, Behar said she is eager to see Greene back at the table.
“I can’t wait to see her again, see what she’s up to,” Behar gushed ahead of Greene’s upcoming appearance.
The enthusiasm comes despite Behar’s long history of clashing with conservative figures. Greene, once a staunch MAGA ally, fell out with Trump late last year and subsequently went on a media tour that included appearances on more left-leaning platforms, including 'The View.'
Behar explained that while she may forgive, she never forgets, adding that she believes this philosophy will make the next conversation even more revealing. But Behar added, “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”
Marjorie Taylor Greene resigns after public feud with Trump
Greene announced her resignation from Congress on November 21 following a public falling out with Trump. The feud centered on the Epstein Files and a funding bill that resulted in a historic 43-day government shutdown. Her last day in office was January 5.
In a lengthy statement and a 10-minute video announcing her departure, Greene branded the president “hateful” over his decision to retract his endorsement of her and criticized Washington’s power structure.
She cited a growing disgust with the political establishment and said her push for the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files was central to her conflict with Trump.

Greene railed against what she called the “political industrial complex,” accusing it of using Americans as “pawns in an endless game of division.” She also argued that it would be unfair for her “sweet little district” to “endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the president we all fought for,” while warning that “Republicans will likely lose the midterms.”
At one point, Greene claimed she had “always been despised in Washington, DC, and just never fit in.” She also said she was stepping away to spend more time with her family, citing constant death threats she claimed to have received following her clash with the president.
Jasmine Crockett questions Marjorie Taylor Greene’s MAGA break
Greene’s return comes just a day after 'The View' hosted Rep Jasmine Crockett, who was praised on the show for speaking out against the president.
However, Crockett was not fully convinced that Greene’s break from MAGA represents a genuine transformation.
“Listen, I can only hope that she’s changed,” Crockett said. “I don’t quite believe it, but I do want people to give her grace, to the extent that she is doing something that, honestly, most of the boys are too afraid to do.”

Still, Crockett questioned Greene’s decision to leave Congress altogether.
“I also feel like it’s a bit cowardly, though, to then just quit. Because the heat that she’s facing, because she’s on the opposite side of him, imagine what I get,” she insisted.
Will MTG get a permanent chair on the show?
Greene last appeared on 'The View' in early November. Her appearance immediately sparked chatter about her future on the show. Following her resignation, rumors swirled that Greene could land on a “shortlist” for a more permanent role on the long-running daytime series.
Speculation was further fueled by comments from a producer speaking to the Daily Mail. “Never say never,” the producer said when asked about Greene potentially joining the panel.
According to the insider, Greene made a surprisingly positive impression behind the scenes. “She was actually really lovely behind the scenes, no one expected that,” the source said. The producer also noted that Greene’s appearance drove engagement. “And I know that we had a lot more social media engagement that day. Before she was on, I’d have been like ‘absolutely not,’ but now I could see the vision if they decided to go that route,” they continued.
While nothing is imminent, Greene has not been ruled out. “I don’t think it’s in the immediate plans or anything, but she is definitely someone who would be on a shortlist,” the source added.
