LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Country music icon Reba McEntire will kick off Super Bowl LVIII with her rendition of the national anthem.
The three-time Grammy winner said she is grateful for the opportunity to perform at the biggest sports event of the year.

The 'Fancy' singer will join other musical acts on February 11 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Rapper Post Malone will sing 'America the Beautiful' before the halftime show featuring Usher.
Andra Day will also perform 'Lift Every Voice and Sing' as part of the pre-game festivities, the NFL announced on January 18.

Performing at the Super Bowl will be a full-circle moment for McEntire, reports Fox News.
She sang 'The Star Spangled Banner' 50 years ago at the 1974 National Finals Rodeo in Oklahoma City.
McEntire reveals on CBS that she got news from her manager telling her they want her to sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl.
"I said oh my God, let me think about that...while my boyfriend Rex who is a huge football fan said Yes! She will do it, absolutely so," she said.

McEntire has become a country music legend with more than 30 studio albums that include hits like 'Fancy,' 'Consider Me Gone' and 'Does He Love You.'
She was inducted into the 'Country Music Hall of Fame' in 2011 and received a Kennedy Center honor in 2018.
She also starred in the Broadway musical 'Annie Get Your Gun' and the TV series 'Reba.'
She released her latest album 'Not That Fancy' and a new book last year, which became a New York Times bestseller.
Reba McEntire follows Chris Stapleton as country star at Super Bowl
McEntire’s performance marks the second year in a row that the NFL has chosen a country music star to sing the national anthem.
In 2023, Chris Stapleton performed at State Farm Stadium in Arizona. Following the performance he told Willie Geist in October, "The national anthem's a hard one for any singer, I don't care who you are."
McEntire is also gearing up for her second season as a vocal coach on 'The Voice.'
