LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Cardi B faced criticism after she awkwardly paused for nearly a minute during her endorsement speech at Kamala Harris' Milwaukee, Wisconsin rally on Friday, November 1, due to a teleprompter malfunction. She continued with her address after someone handed her a cell phone.

The rapper, known for her candid and unapologetic personality, didn't hold back while responding to the criticism. In a fiery video, she defended her actions and reaffirmed her support for the Democratic nominee, as per Daily Mail.

Cardi B shuts down detractors with fiery rant

Elon Musk was among those criticizing her. In response to a clip from the incident, the Tesla CEO wrote, "Another puppet who can’t even talk without being fed the words. The Kamala campaign has no authenticity or true empathy."

A noticeably frustrated Cardi B took to social media to address her detractors with a passionate defense.

She said, "I worked so hard, bro. I worked so hard on my speech and a lot of y'all talkin' about like 'Oh why are you reading it from your phone?'"

The 'Drip' hitmaker continued bluntly, "B***h, I had to write that s**h down."

Cardi B pointed out the realities of her busy life, mentioning that as a mother of three, she sometimes practices speeches in the shower, only to forget them once face-to-face with her audience.

Expressing the need for precision, she shared, "When it comes to this s**t right here, I let you know what I’ve been wanting to say, but I had to make sure I ain’t forget, so I wrote that s**t the f**k down."

She reminded everyone of her commitment to delivering her message properly, dismissing accusations that she wasn’t prepared for the rally.

Cardi B makes it clear that she stands firmly behind Kamala Harris

Despite the speech mishap, Cardi B made it clear that she stands firmly behind Kamala Harris and her campaign.

Sharing her admiration for the vice president, the rapper recalled a conversation they had, which she said left her convinced of Harris' resolve.

"Like yo, she means f-ing business, she['s] a f-ing boss," emphasized Cardi B. She went on to that Harris' determination and focus on proving herself resonated with her, explaining that when a woman "feels like she gotta prove a point, we're gonna f*****g step on it, and that's how she was acting."

The Grammy-winning artist didn’t stop there.

She shared that Harris was straightforward about her ambition and willingness to make changes, even in the face of challenges.

According to her, the vice president expressed that she wouldn't accept "no" for an answer, especially when it came to addressing pressing issues.

Cardi B claimed that Harris’ stance on important global matters, particularly in the Middle East, deeply impressed her, noting that the vice president acknowledged the problems openly instead of pretending not to see them.

At one point, she recalled Harris saying, "Yeah, I see it, I see it and I'mma fix it. If I could fix it, I'mma fix it. If I can't fix it, I don't know what to tell you 'cause at the end of the day, I don't run that country. But if it was up to me, I'll fix it."

For the 'Rodeo' singer, this candor set Harris apart, showing her as someone who faces issues head-on rather than ignoring them.

This straightforward approach endeared the Democratic nominee to Cardi B, leading her to say, "You know what? I f**k with you... She's not acting like she don’t see it."
