NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Tiffany Red, Casandra 'Cassie' Ventura's longtime songwriter, has opened up about the alarming moment she realized that "something is wrong" between the singer and Sean 'Diddy' Combs.

Red, 37, shared her story during 'Secret Life of Diddy — A Special Edition of 20/20', revealing an unsettling phone call from 2015 that left her feeling something was off in their relationship.

“Is someone in the car with you? I know someone is in the car with you,” Red recounted hearing Diddy shout on the phone.

"That was my first time being, like, ‘Something is wrong'," Red recounted on 'Secret Life of Diddy — A Special Edition of 20/20'.

Tiffany Red also recalled a particularly disturbing moment during Casandra 'Cassie' Ventura's 29th birthday in August 2015.

According to the songwriter, Diddy cornered his girlfriend with his security in a room, getting dangerously close “in her face and he’s cussing her out."

“He was really mad, he was really close to her face and she just had her head down,” Red shared, describing how tense the atmosphere was. “My sense was that everybody around him was afraid of him.”

The songwriter, who worked on several of Cassie’s tracks such as 'Joint (No Sleep),' 'Don’t Let Go,' and 'Simple Things,' described Cassie as “sweet, quiet, and a good person”, noting how Diddy introduced her to the world.

However, Red said she always felt uneasy around the music mogul, recalling him once asking, “You’re the one writing all these songs about me?”

She admitted feeling intimidated and sensing that Diddy "didn’t want her talking to me,” reported US Magazine.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs caught on camera physically assaulting Cassie Ventura

Sean 'Diddy' Combs was arrested on September 16 and charged with racketeering conspiracy and trafficking. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Since last year, Diddy has faced multiple lawsuits accusing him of assault. His ex-girlfriend, Cassie, filed a lawsuit in November 2023 claiming that the rapper had been abusive toward her throughout their relationship.

He allegedly paid an undisclosed sum, rumored to be in the millions, to settle the suit within a day.

In May of this year, CNN published a gut-wrenching surveillance video from 2016 in which Diddy appeared to assault Cassie in the hallway of a hotel. The actions seen in the video reportedly seemed to match the claims made by victim in the lawsuit.

Two days after the video came to light, the music mogul issued an apology saying, "My behavior on that video is inexcusable." He had previously denied Cassie's allegations.
