Chappell Roan reveals why she's dropping out of All Things Go music festival a day before the event
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Chappell Roan has canceled her performances at two upcoming festivals, citing the need to prioritize her mental health.
The 26-year-old pop sensation was originally scheduled to take the stage at the All Things Go music festival in New York City on September 28 and Columbia, Maryland, on September 29.
Chappell Roan opens up on pressures of stardom
On Friday, September 27, Roan announced via Instagram that she would no longer be performing.
In her Instagram Stories, Roan shared that the pressures accompanying her recent rise to stardom have taken a toll on her well-being.
“I apologize to people who have been waiting to see me in NYC & DC this weekend at All Things Go, but I am unable to perform," she wrote.
"Things have gotten overwhelming over the past few weeks and I am really feeling it,” the singer explained.
“I feel pressures to prioritize a lot of things right now and I need a few days to prioritize my health," she said, adding, "I want to be present when I perform and give the best shows possible. Thank you for understanding. Be back soon xox.”

Chappell Roan's pattern of cancellations amid health and scheduling concerns
Chapell Roan's decision to pull out of the festivals follows a recent pattern of canceled performances for the rising star.
In August, the 'Good Luck, Babe!' singer canceled shows in Paris and Amsterdam on her European tour, citing scheduling conflicts.
At the time, she expressed her disappointment, writing, “I am so sorry & very disappointed :( I promise I will be back. I’m heartbroken thank you for understanding,” according to People.
Roan’s withdrawal from the festival comes at a time when she is grappling with the pressures of fame.
The singer, who recently won Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards, has been open about her struggles in the spotlight.
In an interview with The Face earlier this month, Roan revealed that if the industry becomes too overwhelming, she might consider stepping away from music altogether.

"This girl blew up to superstar stardom so hard and fast in less than a year. Honestly, give the girl a break. She’s a human, not a machine. It’s sad that outraged “fans” can’t acknowledge that," a netizen commented.
