Chappell Roan's security guard reacts to Jorginho’s daughter incident, takes 'full responsibility'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The security guard, who was involved in an incident with Chappell Roan, real name Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, and Jorginho's 11-year-old daughter, Ada Law, has finally broken his silence. Ada is the biological daughter of Jude Law and Jorginho's wife, Catherine Harding.
Pascal Duvier stated on social media, claiming that he did not act on behalf of the singer, “her personal security team, her management, or any other individuals”. He wrote, “I do not normally address online rumors, but the accusations currently circulating are false and constitute defamation.”
Guard claims he's not part of 'personal security team of Chappell Roan'
“I take full responsibility for the interactions on March 21st. I was at the hotel on behalf of another individual, and I was not part of the personal security team of Chappell Roan,” he stated.
Duvier also insisted in his statement that his action at the São Paulo hotel was purely based “on information we obtained from the hotel, events I had witnessed in the days prior and the heightened overall security risk of our location.”
Guard says he 'calmly' interacted with Jorginho’s daughter
“My sole interaction with the mother was calm and with good intentions, and the outcome of the encounter is regretful,” the guard added.
Duvier’s Instagram post came on Wednesday, March 25, four days after the Brazilian footballer Jorge Luiz Frello Filho, famously known as Jorginho, blasted Roan in an Instagram Story on the weekend.
Jorginho slammed Chappell Roan
He claimed that his daughter had no direct interaction with the songwriter; she just passed by her table to confirm her presence. The 34-year-old even accused the 28-year-old of sending a guard to his wife and his daughter, who spoke to them in an “extremely aggressive manner”.
The guard allegedly scolded them for disrespecting or harassing Roan and also warned them that he would lodge a complaint against them, leaving the girl in tears. “My daughter got super scared and cried a lot. Honestly, I don’t know in what world just passing by a table and looking … can be considered harassment,” the footballer said.
"Without your fans you would be nobody," he added, addressing Roan.
Chappell Roan says she has no involvement in the drama
But soon after the incident blew up, the ‘Good Luck, Babe!’ hitmaker posted her response on Instagram Story.
“I didn't even see a woman and a child. No one came up to me, no one bothered me. I was just sitting at breakfast in my hotel. I did not ask the security guard to go up and talk to this mother and child. I did not,” she asserted.
Also, a spokesperson for Roan told Page Six that the singer “holds her own teams to the highest standards” and that she has “zero tolerance for aggressive behavior toward her or her fans.”
