NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Charlamagne tha God did not mince his words as he criticized the Democratic Party for its approach to selecting new candidates during the Wednesday, October 29, episode of 'The Daily Show'. He also fired a tough question at House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries after he labeled Republicans as “the party of lawlessness.”

The radio further criticized Democratic leaders for failing to support Zohran Mamdani in the New York City mayoral race.

Charlamagne tha God goes off on Democratic Party leaders

After playing a clip of Jeffries labeling Republicans “the party of lawlessness and disorder,” Charlamagne tha God hit back with a pointed question: “People are angry. So why is Hakeem Jeffries talking like he’s Chuck E Cheese Obama? Like, what are we doing? What are we doing? Come on, man. Come on.”

He added, “Clearly, the Democrats don’t have the leaders they need to meet the moment. OK, fine. Anyone who was a fan of sports knows, sometimes, you need a rebuilding year.”

“OK, get some draft picks, develop young talent. And at some point, the old guys need to retire,” Charlamagne expressed.

Charlamagne tha God slams Chuck Schumer for refusing to pick new candidates

Senate Democrats, seeking to put reproductive rights at center stage heading into November's election, held a vote to move forward with legislation to codify the right to contraception access nationwide it was blocked by all present Senate Republicans, except Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME). (Photo by Kent Nishimura/Getty Images)

Charlamagne tha God went on to argue that Democrats should be concentrated on “picking exciting new candidates.”

Charlamagne then showed a clip of 77-year-old Maine Governor Janet Mills, who Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer reportedly “heavily recruited” to run for the Senate. If Mills wins, she will become the oldest first-time senator in history.

“This is the new candidate, OK? She shouldn’t be running for Senate. She should be throwing her 'Titanic' necklace back into the ocean,” the radio host joked.

He also criticized Schumer and other Democrats for refusing to back 34-year-old democratic socialist Mamdani in the New York City mayoral race.

After playing a clip of Schumer awkwardly dodging a question about why he hasn’t endorsed Mamdani, Charlamagne mocked the senator’s low energy, telling the audience that someone needs to “go reboot” him.

Charlamagne tha God calls out Democrats for pushing Biden for president in 2024

Furthermore, Charlamagne tha God slammed Democrats for pushing former President Joe Biden in the 2024 campaign, despite his poor performance in the debate against now-President Donald Trump.

“That’s not the kind of leadership we’re looking for, OK?” Charlamagne said. “These are the same Democratic leaders that shove their sh***y candidates down our throats and say we have to support them because it’s vote blue no matter who. Hell, you did it after Joe Biden shat the bed in the debate.”

Later in the segment, the ‘Breakfast Club’ host complained that Democrats act like they deserve praise for being the “most rational people in the room.”

“No one cares. You’re trying to win voters,” he remarked.
