Charlie Sheen's neighbor pleads not guilty after being charged with assault following alleged attack
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Actor Charlie Sheen's Buddhist neighbor, Electra Schrock, entered a not guilty plea during her arraignment on Tuesday, December 26.
The court then issued a criminal protection order, mandating that she refrain from any contact with the actor or his home.
Sheen's neighbor, Electra Schrock (nee Poag) is officially charged with 'felony assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury'. The initial accusation of 'assault with a deadly weapon with force' was dismissed.
According to a court testimony, Sheen is 'quite fearful' after the shocking event on December 20, as per Daily Mail.
Electra Schrock pleads not guilty to attacking Charlie Sheen
According to court personnel in Van Nuys Superior Court, Electra Schrock entered a plea to one felony count of assault using force intended to cause serious bodily injury.
Schrock, 47, was taken into custody by Los Angeles County sheriffs on December 20 afternoon at her rented three-story, two-bedroom apartment in the same building as the star of 'Two and a Half Men'.
During her nine-minute indictment hearing in Department 100 at the Van Nuys Superior Courthouse on Tuesday, December 26, Schrock stood in a glassed-off room designated for defendants and spoke only a few words.
Judge John Reid maintained her bail amount at $75,000, thus she remained in custody. Additionally, the judge granted prosecution's request for a criminal protection order, often known as a restraining order.

On December 20, Schrock is accused of breaking into Sheen's house and assaulting him.
According to a statement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, deputies responded to a complaint regarding a battery and arrived at the 6000 block of Cavalleri Road around 1 pm.
According to the deputies who came and took Schrock into custody, the 'Two and a Half Men' actor was the target of an alleged assault and break-in.
However, Schrock's public attorney, Randy Kaplan, made an effort to mitigate the alleged event.
Kaplan told the Judge, "It doesn't seem like anything more than an overfilled misdemeanor battery. There were no injuries. The victim was examined by a medical doctor who stated that he (the victim) was fine."
As per Kaplan, the charges brought by the prosecution "basically alleging the defendant had grabbed the neck area, grabbed him by the collar which seems on the extremely lower end of what has been filed (by prosecutors)."
Charlie Sheen's neighbor's pal defends alleged attacker Electra Schrock
One of Electra Schrock's friends backed her though she was accused of pulling actor Sheen's shirt and trying to choke him during the alleged attack.
The friend reckoned the actor's Malibu neighbor is a Buddhist who "wouldn't hurt a fly," and claimed the actor's alleged assailant is "being set up," as reported by Radar Online.
Schrock's close friend said of her, "Electra is an attractive, kind woman who wouldn't hurt a fly. She's a Buddhist. She's a peaceful person. She's being set up," adding that she volunteers with multiple children's charities.
Prosecutor Nicole Flood portrayed Shrock as a violent lady despite her friend's description.

Flood said that the actor had several sutures throughout his body, one of which had "come out" during his alleged altercation with Schrock. She also stated that Schrock is currently "pending" in an elder abuse case.
"The court should be aware that the defendant is on a pending diversion case….an elder abuse charge," Flood added.
Flood further explained, "She was on diversion for that matter when she committed this offense and assaulted the victim in the present case. We believe that that means the defendant presents a danger. The victim is quite fearful."
Shortly after the incident, Sheen's concerned parents, 'The West Wing' actor Martin Sheen, 83, and Janet, 79, who also reside in Malibu, hurried to check on their son, per Daily Mail.
