Charvarius Ward's daughter dies weeks before second birthday, 'heartbroken' NFL star pens emotional post

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: San Francisco 49ers player Charvarius Ward is mourning the death of her young daughter after she died weeks before her 2nd birthday.

The cornerback star posted an emotional tribute to daughter Amani Joy on Instagram, “We are heartbroken that our beautiful baby girl, Amani Joy passed away on Monday morning.”

Grieving father Charvarius Ward remembered his daughter Amani Joy, saying, “She was the best blessing we could have asked for, and her joyous spirit made us smile from ear to ear. She taught us to have patience, trust, and a positive outlook on life. She showed us true strength and bravery.”

“She overcame adversity at a young age and was always happy, lighting up every room with her smile. Having the privilege of being her parents and seeing the world through her eyes has changed us for the better. She will forever be daddy’s best friend and mommy’s little girl. We’ll miss you and love you forever, Amani Joy,” Ward expressed gratitude for being her parent.

Previously, the athlete has shared that his daughter was born prematurely with Trisomy 21, widely known as Down Syndrome, per E! News.

Amani Joy was born with Down Syndrome, had heart issues from the early days, and even had to go through surgery due to two holes in her heart.

Netizens prayed for the Ward family after daughter Amani Joy's early death. The little girl suffered from Down Syndrome and had a heart condition.
