WASHINGTON, DC: Robert F Kennedy Jr's wife, Cheryl Hines, recently revealed that Melania Trump "quietly" works to protect, save, and reunite children with their families.

Earlier in October, the first lady publicly announced her involvement in diplomatic efforts to reunite children displaced by the Russia-Ukraine war.

Cheryl Hines says Melania Trump 'doesn’t need fanfare' for her work

During her Friday, October 24, appearance on 'The Tucker Carlson Show', Cheryl Hines said, "Everything that I know about Melania Trump is pretty amazing. She does a lot of work for children, and she does it quietly."

"She doesn't need fanfare for it, but she really works hard to try to reunite children with their parents, for a lot of different programs she works for," the 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' star added.

In September, the first lady launched Fostering the Future Together — a global coalition of nations committed to enhancing the well-being of children through the promotion of education, innovation, and technology.

According to the White House, Melania shared that Fostering the Future Together’s mission is "to ensure that every child can flourish in the digital era." 

"Innovation is wonderful. Our nations benefit from advancements in technology — saving lives, expanding access to knowledge, connecting people, and of course, safety," the first lady affirmed.

She reinforced her mission to prioritize the development of children at the intersection of technology and education.

Melania Trump and Putin's talks help eight Ukrainian children reunite with their families

On October 10, Melania Trump revealed she has been having conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. These talks, held over the past few months, focused on the return of children separated from their families due to the war in Ukraine.

She made the announcement, saying that after an "open channel of communication" with the Russian president, eight Ukrainian children displaced in the war have been reunited with their families.



"President Putin and I have had an open channel of communication regarding the welfare of these children," the FLOTUS informed. "Eight children have been reunited with their families in the past 24 hours."

"For the past three months, both sides have participated in several back-channel meetings and calls, all in good faith. We have agreed to cooperate with each other for the benefit of all the people involved in this war," Melania added.



The FLOTUS further explained that she has been in talks with Putin's representatives about all the children suffering as a result of the war.

Melania also said, "Much has unfolded since Putin received my letter," referring to a note that President Donald Trump hand-delivered to Putin during their August summit in Alaska.

"Each of these children have lived through the trauma of war. Three were separated from their parents and displaced to the Russian Federation because of frontline fighting. The other five were separated from their families across international borders because of the ongoing conflict," Melania n.
