PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MARYLAND: Actress and the wife of Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F Kennedy Jr, Cheryl Hines, joined first lady Melania Trump and second lady Usha Vance, the wife of Vice President JD Vance, at a Red Cross holiday care package event on Monday, December 1, at Joint Base Andrews in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

Her appearance with the Republican figures angered many in Hollywood, with some saying she has gone fully MAGA.

On Monday, Cheryl, along with Melania and Usha, as part of an American Red Cross program for military families, met with family members of deployed servicemen and women at Joint Base Andrews in Prince George’s County, Maryland. But her Hollywood friends are reportedly dismayed and stunned by the actress’ transformation from liberal to conservative.

In October, the Daily Mail reported that one of Hines’ longtime friends said they don’t talk politics with her because it “just goes south.”

“It’s like she’s gone MAGA, or at least MAHA, which is just so…beyond comprehension to me,” they told the outlet.

“It’s so hard to make sense in my head because she was so liberal before,” another source shared. “And now, she’s married to a member of the Trump administration, and she’s literally defending his ridiculous s*** on ‘The View.'”

Cheryl Hines defends RFK Jr on 'The View'

The source highlighted Cheryl's tense moment on ‘The View’ in October, when she pushed back at Sunny Hostin for attacking RFK Jr as “the least qualified Department of Health and Human Services head that we’ve had in history.”

Hines said, “He has spent his career studying toxins, studying people’s health, fighting for one guy who was using Roundup for his job.”

She was referencing her husband’s former job as an attorney. RFK Jr represented a school groundskeeper who claimed his use of Roundup weed killer resulted in a diagnosis of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The client was ultimately awarded $289 million in the case in 2018.

During the trio’s day at Joint Base Andrews, they thanked around 100 military spouses, Red Cross volunteers, and troops’ families for their dedication, with Melania praising spouses for carrying “the weight of family life.”

Usha called the season a time to “lift up” those who serve. The women joined volunteers filling comfort kits with snacks and handwritten notes, and Melania wrote in one card, “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year… our nation is proud of you.”
