Chris Pratt mourns death of stunt double Antonio 'Tony' McFarr, calls late friend 'an absolute stud'
ORLANDO, FLORIDA: Chris Pratt is "devastated" by the unexpected death of his dear friend and stuntman Antonio 'Tony' McFarr who died at the age of 47.
McFarr was found dead in his home in Orlando, Florida on Monday, May 13, according to ET.

Pratt took to Instagram Story on Friday, May 17, to pay tribute to his friend McFarr.
"We did several movies together. We golfed, drank whiskey, smoked cigars, and spent endless hours on set," the actor recalled.
"I'll never forget his toughness," he shared.
He also recalled McFarr taking "a nasty shot to the head" and getting "several staples in his head" while filming 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2'.
The action star shared that the stunt double resumed his work shortly after his injury.
"He was an absolute stud. He was always a gentleman and professional," said Pratt.
"He'll be missed. My prayers go out to his friends and family, especially his daughter," he added.
How did Antonio 'Tony' McFarr die?
McFarr's death on Monday, May 17 was confirmed by his mother Donna.
She shared that her son was "active and healthy" and his death was "unexpected," according to TMZ.
The cause of death or exact circumstances surrounding his death have not yet been disclosed.

The Orange County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed that they have the case, as per the statement to ET.
"An exam has already taken place and cause/manner of death is pending toxicology results," said the office.
Antonio 'Tony' McFarr's work as a stuntman
McFarr's career as a stuntman included several projects including 'Captain America: Civil War', 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1', 'Bones', 'Teen Wolf', 'Homeland', 'Allegiant' and, 'The Accountant'.
In July 2023, McFarr teased the opening of his restaurant, Reel Bowls near Orlando, Florida.
In February, he took to social media to celebrate the film-themed eatery's opening.

McFarr, who is survived by his daughter, his sister, and his mother and father, was popular for his work as a stunt double for Pratt.
The 47-year-old began working as a double for Pratt in 2015 in 'Jurassic World' and went on to work for the actor in 'Passengers', 'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom', and, 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2'.
Introducing McFarr as his stunt double and friend, Pratt shared a post from the set of 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2'.
"Here's me and my stunt-man Tony McFarr (also Tommy Harper stunt coordinator and our first AD Lars Winther) on set," he captioned the post.
"Been working with Tony since Jurassic World. Love you buddy! Happy wrap!" Pratt wrote.
