LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Chrissy Teigen recently shared a selfie to show her state of mind before evacuating her $17.5 million Los Angeles mansion as massive wildfires engulfed parts of Southern California.

The 39-year-old model, who had to evacuate along with her family, took a moment and clicked a selfie in front of her huge closet. She shared the selfie on her Instagram Stories.

However, fans were not empathetic with her “surreal” experience, which she had to undergo because of the evacuation, and rather called her out for her “tone deaf” selfie even in this kind of emergency.

However, just moments before the family had to evacuate, the media personality took a moment to reveal her state of mind amid the predicament.

Taking to her Instagram Stories on late Wednesday, January 8, Teigen wrote in one post, "I haven't had the words, it is a hellscape. We are ok as of right now, and I felt weird saying that with so many people we know and don't know who are not ok..."

After a few hours, she also shared a mirror selfie of her standing in front of her massive wardrobe showcasing her designer clothing as she prepared to pack some essentials.

"This is surreal,” wrote the cookbook author who held her hand over her mouth in shock in the photo. She added, “I'm very scared. Packing."

The photo, meanwhile, did not sit well with netizens who criticized her priorities and urged her to evacuate to safety with her family soon.

Hours later, when Teigen had checked into a hotel, she shared a clip of her family from the hotel room.

She captioned a video of her pets surrounding her in bed, "4 kids 4 dogs and a bearded dragon walk into a hotel.”

In another clip, she showed her bearded dragon, Sebastian, lying on her chest.

Teigen and Legen join the long list of celebrities who had to evacuate their million-dollar homes in posh localities due to the fire emergency.

Reality TV couple Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, ‘Star Wars’ actor Mark Hamill, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, Paris Hilton, Jamie Lee Curtis are some of the stars who have been displaced from their homes in the Los Angeles fire.

Chrissy Teigen slammed for 'tone deaf' post

Netizens took to social media to shred Chrissy Teugen's "tone deaf" post online, calling her "out of touch" for clicking selfies in front of her closet.

One user mocked, "Quick! Let me capture how scared I am with a closet selfie!"

Someone else asked, "Seriously? A photo in front of her large wardrobe. How tone deaf can a person get?"

"It looks as if she’s scared for her wardrobe," mused someone else about the selfie where Teigen stood in front of her massive closet.

Another user castigated, "But wait.. let me stop and make a video of ME first …."

"Its hard to have sympathy for her when I see the wall length closet of designer clothes behind her. Just off-putting," declared someone else.

Another user called them out for being "out of touch," saying, "It makes you feel a way when you’re scared yet took a selfie of you crying in front of your millionaire closet of clothes. That’s what we mean by “out of touch.”"

"But she had time to pose in front of her closet ?!?," asked another baffled fan.

A social media user asked in bewilderment, "Taking photos while evacuting....? Show me vapid and shallow?"

"Is she really crying in front of her clothes?" queried someone else.

Another netizen slammed, "The fact that she took a selfie near her closet of high priced rags says it all. No one cares about these two out of touch narcissists."
