Christina Aguilera's 40 lbs weight loss draws concern from health experts over potential risks
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Pop sensation Christina Aguilera has shed an eye-catching 40 pounds, but the dramatic transformation is stirring up concern among health professionals and fans alike.
The 'Lady Marmalade' singer's newly toned figure has fueled speculation about the use of the popular weight-loss drug Ozempic, though the singer has neither confirmed nor denied this.

A music industry insider expressed concerns about the ongoing cycle of weight loss and gain, stating, “Whether she’s using Ozempic or not, yo-yo dieting is neither good nor sustainable for anyone,” according to Radar.
Throughout her music career in the late 1990s, Aguilera’s weight has seen notable shifts, starting with a 15-lb gain during her 2002 tour.
The ups and downs continued after her 2008 pregnancy with her first son, Max, where she initially lost 40 lbs but then regained it amid her divorce from Jordan Bratman.
By the time she judged on 'The Voice,' she had lost another 35 lbs, only for the weight to return by 2022. Now, her latest weight loss has reignited concern about her health.
Health experts sound alarm on rapid weight loss and potential drug dangers
Dr Stuart Fischer, the author of 'The Park Avenue Diet', estimates Christina Aguilera’s weight has dropped from over 140 lbs to just above 100 lbs. Both Fischer and longevity expert Dr Gabe Mirkin have voiced concerns about the long-term effects of rapid weight loss.

“Diets that cause rapid weight loss can shorten lives and increase the risk of heart attacks and premature death," Mirkin warns.
The doctor also cautions against improper use of drugs like Ozempic, which, if misused, could damage essential organs such as the pancreas, gall bladder, and kidneys. It’s worth noting that neither doctor has treated Aguilera personally.
Christina Aguilera doesn't 'give a f**k' to body criticism following Ozempic rumors
However, this isn’t the first time Christina Aguilera’s weight loss has raised eyebrows. In July, while debuting a partnership with Playground’s Catherine Magee and Sandy Vukovic, Aguilera’s slimmer frame drew mixed reactions from fans.

Christina Aguilera refused to let the Ozempic accusations affect her and has said that the media's fixation on her weight has harmed her. "I have a maturity now where I just don’t give a f**k about your opinion. I’m not going to take it on," the songstress said to Glamour for her August 2024 cover story, which went live on August 15.
"It must be your responsibility to take up your space. Other people’s opinions of me are not my business."
