Christine Baumgartner ‘burning with jealousy’ over ex-husband Kevin Costner’s romance with Jewel

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The 'Yellowstone' star, Kevin Costner’s new love interest with folk singer Jewel, has sparked a furious reaction from his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner.

The 49-year-old handbag designer is reportedly “livid” and “burning with jealously” over the actor’s cozy getaway with Jewel on Richard Branson’s Necker Island.

RadarOnline reported that, according to The National Enquirer, Baumgartner has requested Costner to refrain from involving his new girlfriend in their children's lives.

The former couple share three children — Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13 — who were at the center of their bitter divorce battle.

“Christine does not want this woman anywhere near their kids — for the time being at least,” a source told the tabloid.

According to the insider cited by the publication, Baumgartner was purportedly irritated by what appeared to be Costner's double standards.

The 68-year-old 'Yellowstone' star reportedly "flipped out" in response to rumors that his ex-wife had started a relationship with his friend Josh Connor, with whom she vacationed in Hawaii.

The source stated, "She thinks it’s pretty hypocritical of Kevin to be parading around like this oversexed college jock when he flipped out so angrily when there were rumors she’d stepped out herself."

Costner and Jewel, both 49, crossed paths at a fundraiser for her Inspiring Children Foundation, which is dedicated to assisting at-risk youth.

The pair reportedly hit it off and decided to spend some quality time together on Richard Branson’s private island.

US Weekly reported on December 13 that Kevin and Jewel had "been quietly dating for some time now."

The source further said, “Kevin and Jewel had an extremely high opinion of each other and have always gotten along great."

“They check a lot of boxes for each other," he added.

However, the budding romance doesn't seem getting well for Christine who got into an ugly divorce battle with ex Kevin Costner. 

The insider informed the National Enquirer, stating, "Despite publicly saying she’s not surprised Kevin moved on, Christine is burning with jealousy."

The source added, "And she’s looking forward to seeing Kevin with egg on his face once it all crashes and burns!"
