WASHINGTON, DC: Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday, July 30, confirmed that their quarterback Joe Burrow did not join a Zoom call for 'White Dudes for Kamala Harris' to support the Vice President's 2024 White House bid.

Notably, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Minnesota Gov Tim Walz, and Illinois Gov JB Pritzker attended the virtual fundraising event that was targeted towards White men supporting VP Kamala Harris, as per AP.

In a now-deleted post on X by Kamala's Wins on Monday, July 29, they wrote, "BREAKING: Joe Burrow is supporting Vice President Kamala Harris and even joined the White Dudes for Kamala call."

However, the Cincinnati Bengals confirmed that their quarterback did not attend the online event, according to WhiskeyRiff. Burrow's attendance was never captured, and many supporters were skeptical that the quarterback would suddenly attend a political call to offer his support in the middle of training camp.

The press release by 'White Dudes for Harris' read, "Over the course of the evening, speakers heard governors, senators, congressmen, actors and singers all speaking directly to white men around the need to organize and support Kamala Harris for president."

It added, "Speakers spoke truthfully and honestly about the path ahead, the importance for us to connect with one another and the important role we can play in getting other white men to turn their backs on the dangerous, dark path Donald Trump is trying to march us down."

Joe Burrow met GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump

Joe Burrow was snapped alongside GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump and San Francisco 49ers player Nick Bosa at the UFC 299 in Miami in March 2024. The three appeared to have a short discussion.

Similarly, during UFC 287 in April 2023, Burrow had met the former President whereas this time he was accompanied by Odell Beckham Jr, the Bosa brothers and Sam Hubbard were also present, as per Sportskeeda.

However, Burrow has never been vocal about his political views. He had signed a 5-year, $275 million contract and will be focusing on the Lombardi Trophy this season after missing the 2023 season due to injury.
