Joe Burrow reportedly took part in ‘White Dudes for Kamala Harris’ virtual event but there’s no proof

The possibility of a troll using the screenname 'Joe Burrow' or someone with the same name joining the call cannot be ruled out

WASHINGTON, DC: Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow reportedly joined a Zoom call for 'White Dudes for Kamala Harris' to support the Vice President's 2024 White House bid.

Harris' campaign account made a claim on X (formerly Twitter), signaling the NFL player made an endorsement to the Democratic presumptive nominee.

However, there is no evidence to prove whether Borrow joined the call other than the tweet.

"BREAKING: Joe Burrow is supporting Vice President Kamala Harris and even joined the White Dudes for Kamala call," read the Monday, July 29, post by the X account Kamala's Wins.

The Monday Zoom call also featured prominent Democratic allies, including actor Jeff Bridges and Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg.

Joe Burrow met Donald Trump in March at UFC 299

It was not long ago that Joe Burrow met with former president Donald Trump. In March, he was snapped alongside the GOP presidential nominee and San Francisco 49ers player Nick Bosa at the UFC 299.

So Burrow's alleged support for Harris could be surprising to many in light of this meeting.

The only problem is the lack of any confirmation to prove that the Bengals quarterback was actually a part of the Zoom call. The possibility of a troll using the screenname 'Joe Burrow' or someone with the same name joining the call cannot be ruled out.

At present, Burrow is in the training camp with his Bengals teammates, so the prospect of him spending his leisure time on a Zoom call for 'White Dudes for Kamala Harris' comes under scrutiny, especially when he never made a political endorsement before.

Nevertheless, the NFL player had voiced his support for abortion rights, a focal agenda of the Democratic campaign, along with backing strict gun control legislation. Therefore, it could not be ruled out that he is finally ready to stop traversing the neutral ground with an endorsement for Harris.

Internet reacts to Joe Burrow allegedly joining 'White Dudes for Kamala Harris' Zoom call

Netizens seemed to disbelieve the news, with many questioning whether Joe Burrow really joined the Zoom call in support of Kamala Harris in light of his friendly photo op with Donald Trump earlier this year.

"Interesting because he was seen talking with Trump at that UFC fight recently and now he’s endorsing Kamala lmao," a user wrote.

"That’s great news he’s not known for being political," another remarked.

"Did anyone actually see this? How do we know it’s not some random person that made their zoom name Joe Burrow?" asked a third suer.

"Didnt he just pose for a picture with trump at ufc a couple months ago," read a fourth response.

Another user feigned surprise through a dog meme that said, "WHAT?

"I don't know if it can ever be verified if he was actually on the call or not, but our Comrade Burrow has always been alive and well," someone else said.

"You guys, as cool as this news would be of Joe Burrow joining the call, I’m pretty sure it isn’t true," an individual chimed in.
