Clip of Leslie Jones excitedly yelling and punching the air during AEW wrestling match goes viral

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Comedian and actress Leslie Jones went viral on social media for her antics at the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) Revolution match that was held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 9.

Jumping among the audience and screaming in excitement led to Jones being jokingly referred to by commentator Nigel McGuinness as pro wrestler and one of the AEW contenders, Prince Nana's mother.

The 'SNL' alum was all over the event and even took a picture later with the World Tag Team Champions Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley aka Hurt Syndicate after the event with the championship belt over her shoulders.

Celebrity appearances at AEW Revolution

Leslie Jones was far from the only celebrity to make an appearance at the Sunday wrestling event, as per f4wonline. The most number of celebrity appearances were seen during the number one contender's match between Swerve Strickland and Ricochet.

Apart from Jones, actor and comedian Ken Jeong, who popularly starred in 'The Hangover' movies and NBC sitcom 'Community', made an appearance during the match. Also present were Brad Williams, Ron Funches, and former Los Angeles Lakers star player Michael Cooper.

Director Ash Avildsen and actors Kelli Berglund and Damaris Lewis from the 'Queen of the Ring' were also present at the arena. Released in theatres on March 7, the biographical film stars Emily Bett Rickards as Mildred Burke, a professional wrestler who became the first female athlete to earn a million dollars. The film also features AEW Women’s World Champions Toni Storm and Kamille, who were present behind the commentators' table.

Actors Adam DeVine and Tony Cavalero from the HBO show 'The Righteous Gemstones' made a special appearance during the pre-show, where they delivered a double chokeslam to the contender Mansoor.

Netizens cheered for a hyped-up Leslie Jones at the AEW match on the social networking site Reddit. 

"She was yelling the whole match. I love this," wrote a person.

"She seems like she really knows how to live," shared another.

"Oh hell yes put her on commentary immediately," quipped a third.

"I love how they commentary confused her for Prince Nana’s mother at first lmao," noted a fourth.

"She should be honored," expressed a fifth.

On X, a user posted, "Leslie Jones is having the best time watching Swerve vs Ricochet."

"That’s awesome she really into the show," added another.
