Cowboys' Jerry Jones called 'weird dude' by NFL fans as he admits he likes to eat squirrel brain
DALLAS, TEXAS: Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones isn't holding back in sharing his dietary preferences, which include raccoons and squirrels.
Jones, who frequently speaks publicly about his NFL team, made surprising revelations about his culinary choices.
The 82-year-old billionaire recently sat for his routine appearance for Shan & RJ on Audacy's '105.3 The Fan' when he left NFL fans shocked after revealing that he enjoys feasting on raccoons and squirrels, per Fox News.
Jerry Jones reveals his dietary preferences
During the conversation, a candid talk about the Carolina Panthers rookie Xavier Legette was used as the launching pad for the discussion about Jerry Jones.
Earlier this month, during an appearance on the ‘St Brown Podcast,’ Legette revealed that he loves to feast on raccoons, leaving Detroit Lions star Aman-Ra St Brown and his brother Equanimeous equally flabbergasted.

At one point during the '105.3 The Fan' podcast, the Cowboys boss was asked about his opinion on Legette’s choice of delicacies, when the Arkansas native shared his experiences of consuming the same.
"I've eaten a lot of raccoon," Jones shared while validating Legette’s preferences. He continued, "Yes, the answer is yes. I've eaten it hunting, and I've actually had it served by my mom at the table away from hunting. It's not uncommon at all."
He further shared insights into their family traditions where such feasts would entail which family member would eat which part of the animal.
He continued, "One of my favorites is squirrel," before reminiscing, "It's wonderful, and my mother could do a great job of [preparing] it.”
“We all had our favorite pieces,” shared the businessman, before adding, “My mom and I would even ask for the brain in a squirrel. Delicious. Seriously."
Internet divided on Jerry Jones' favorite delicacies
While a major section of the netizens were left shocked at Jerry Jones' revelation, other internet users backed his preferences saying that it's a common element in the South.
One of the social media users said, "Everything makes so much more sense now."
"😔 This dude so weird," added someone else.
Another social media user quipped, "Team is closing out the 29th year of falling well short of a NFC championship game and they talk about eating squirrels - but it ensures Jerry comes back next week."
