NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Country music star Morgan Wallen's reason for getting arrested after throwing a chair from a rooftop bar in Nashville has been revealed.

According to Daily Mail, it was his meltdown on learning the news that his ex-fiancee, Katie ‘KT’ Smith, had secretly eloped with her fiance Luke Scornavacco just five days after engagement.

Morgan Wallen is crushed by KT’s marriage elopement with Luke Scornavacco

Wallen and Smith, who have a son, Indigo, together in 2020, dated on and off from December 2016 to November 2019.

The toddler witnessed his mother's engagement after Scornavacco, 22, proposed on one knee on March 29th at Magnolia Farm in Eagleville, Tennessee.

“Of course, he knew they were engaged and eventually going to get married...," a source told the publication.

The source further said, "Morgan has never gotten over her even though he couldn’t stay faithful to her. And now another man is going to be raising his son.”

Smith, 29, announced her marriage to Scornavacco on social media, holding up a marriage certificate from the Wilson County Clerk’s Office in Tennessee.

Did Morgan Wallen lose the love of his life?

Smith reportedly had been defending the pace of her relationship with Scornavacco after she shared a series of photographs with him.

She also denied wedding with Scornavacco was a shotgun but said, "Now we're married we can try all we want," on her Instagram story.

“Whatever happened at that bar had to be reality hitting him in the face over losing the love of his life,” the source said.

The chair Morgan Wallen threw fell three feet away from Metropolitan Nashville Police Department officers

Just after 10.45 pm on Sunday, Wallen was charged with three counts of felony reckless endangerment and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

Wallen, 30, was released on bond from the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department after the incident at Chiefs Bar.

The MNPD officers alleged the chair landed three feet from them. Wallen was reportedly upset by Smith’s elopement with Scornavacco on April 3, just five days after they got engaged.

Wallen is set to appear in court on May 3, between two scheduled performances at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville from May 2 to May 4 as part of his ‘One Night at a Time’ tour.

If convicted of the felony charges, Wallen could face up to 15 years in jail, and no less than one year.
