NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Morgan Wallen has been taken into custody on three felony charges.

On Sunday, April 7, the country singer was arrested after he allegedly threw a chair from the sixth floor of a bar on Broadway in Nashville, reported People.

What are the charges against Morgan Wallen?

According to a statement issued by Metro Nashville Police Department on X, during the incident which took place just before 11 pm, two police officers who were standing in front of the bar watched the chair fall from from the rooftop.



 

As per court records obtained by the outlet, the 30-year-old was taken into custody and was charged with three counts of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.

Wallen who is scheduled to appear in court on May 3 in Nashville for "settlement" is facing a $15,250 bond.

Morgan Wallen was 'laughing' after he threw the chair from the bar's rooftop

Local outlet WKRN reported that several witnesses shared that the singer was seen throwing the chair over the rooftop's edge to the street level and "laughing afterward."

On Friday, April 5, the Chief's Bar owned by country singer Eric Church had its grand opening.

People reported that the 'Last Night' singer's lawyer, Worrick Robinson stated that Wallen has been "cooperating" with police following the arrest.

“At 10.53 pm on Sunday evening Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct," read the statement.

"He is cooperating fully with authorities," the statement added.

In 2021, Wallen faced significant backlash after footage surfaced showing him using a racial slur while intoxicated.

His record label contract was suspended after the incident which led to the removal of his songs from radio play and disqualification from the 2021 Academy of Country Music Awards.

Previously, he revealed on 'Good Morning America' that he checked into a rehabilitation center following the issue.

As Wallen finds himself in the middle of legal trouble once again, netizens reacted to his arrest in Nashville.
