WASHINGTON, DC: Building America's Future, a conservative non-profit organization, chastised CNN for not airing an advert blaming President Joe Biden for Laken Riley's tragic murder, during last week's State of the Union address. However, the network maintains the advertisement failed to meet their standards.

Building America’s Future advisor Phil Cox said in his interview with Fox News Digital, "CNN and Joe Biden are in lockstep once again. It is shameful that CNN is censoring the truth and trying to protect President Biden by refusing to air this ad. The American people understand that Biden’s open borders agenda is responsible for the death of Laken Riley.”

"Building America’s Future won't be deterred when it comes to the important work of informing the public on how we are all less safe in Joe Biden’s America,” he asserted.

What did the organization’s unaired advertisement entail?

Laken Hope Riley, a 22-year-old Augusta University nursing student, was killed while jogging on the trails surrounding the University of Georgia campus in Athens, Georgia, according to Fox News.

The accused in her murder is 26-year-old Jose Antonio Ibarra, an immigrant from Venezuela who was residing in the United States illegally.

Fox News Channel and MSNBC aired the ‘Run’ advertisement, which has gone viral on social media.

The advert begins with a narrator saying, "Laken Riley should have been able to go on a run, in broad daylight without being murdered by an illegal immigrant. But Joe Biden promised not to deport illegal immigrants."

It then presented clips of President Joe Biden declaring that illegal immigrants "should not be the focus of deportation" and would not be "put in jail while waiting for their hearing" before the narrator mentioned Riley's alleged murderer.

"So, when Jose Ibarra crossed into America illegally, he was not deported, he was not put in jail. Biden also supported sanctuary cities," the narrator continued. "So, when Jose Ibarra was arrested in New York City for endangering a child, he was freed a second time. Ibarra went to Georgia, where he beat Laken Riley to death. How many more killers has Biden set free?"

A CNN spokesperson informed Fox News Digital that "the advertisement did not meet commercial clearance guidelines and policies".

The source also disclosed that "all ads that run on our air go through a review to ensure we are presenting factual and accurate information to our audience," and that the Building America's Future advert did not come up to snuff due to "claims that were unsubstantiated".

Laken Riley's murder shook the nation as difficulties at the border continues to persist.

During his State of the Union address, President Biden appeared to refer to her as "Lincoln" rather than "Laken," eliciting considerable condemnation nationwide.

The victim’s mother, Allyson Phillips, wrote in her response on Facebook after someone brought to her notice that President Biden called her deceased daughter "Lincoln", "Biden does not even KNOW my child’s name – it’s pathetic! If you are going to say her name (even when forced to do so) at least say the right name!"

Phillips also alleged the POTUS of attempting to "minimize" her daughter’s murder by invoking his son Beau’s death from cancer.

Internet lambasts CNN for not allowing Laken Riley ad to air during Biden’s SOTU speech

People on Facebook skewered the mainstream media outlet for not airing the advert produced by Building America’s Future which had some choice words for the incumbent President.

One user commented: "We need strong border protection for the USA. We need strong border protection for the American people."

Another person snarked: "The media helps him wash his bloody hands."

Another user said: "Well of course they did. CNN are hiding so much from the citizens. And a damn shame."

One person claimed: "A bunch of BS but if it was Trump they wouldn't hesitate."

Another user wrote: "Of course they won’t air it. But if Trump did it that’s all they would be talking about"

Finally, this person commented: "CNN doesn't have standards."
