NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: President Joe Biden took to X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, March 12, to re-iterate his claim that former president and his political opponent Donald Trump would cut Social Security and Medicare for citizens if he came to power in November.

Netizens, however, did not agree with the incumbent's claims and accused him of promoting a false narrative.

President Joe Biden slams Donald Trump

From his personal X account, Biden shared a video where he is seen listening to an audio clip of his predecessor.

In the clip, Trump can be heard saying, "So first of all, there is a lot you can do in terms of entitlement, in terms of cutting..."

The clip then cuts to Biden who then says, "This man had no idea what he's talking about."

"And over my dead body will he cut Social Security so he can give tax breaks to the super wealthy. It's just outrageous, and everything he's saying is absolutely wrong," the President continued.

"This is worth the fight all by itself," Biden added as Trump's muffled voice continues to be heard from the device in his hand.

In addition to the video, Biden wrote in his post, "I watched the clip of Trump proposing cuts to Social Security and Medicare. I won’t let Trump take seniors’ hard-earned benefits to give tax breaks to his wealthy friends."

Internet slams Joe Biden and call him a 'liar'

Netizens apparently did not buy into Biden's narrative and slammed him for his "propaganda" clip.

"Show me the clip. Liar. Trump has said he will NEVER Cut SS or Medicare. All you've got is LIES. PATHETIC," wrote a social media user.

"That's not what he said. Your corrupt media cut the clip. All you ever do is lie," added another.

"Propaganda. The only way you have a chance of winning is for you to continually lie about President Trump," stated a third.

"Why do you assume he would just give tax breaks to his friends? When he was president, he gave multiple tax breaks to the middle class," commented a fourth.

"You played 8 seconds that conformed to your narrative. Context matters, play the full interview," demanded one individual.
