David Beckham’s son Cruz stirs controversy after bizarrely claiming ‘Jesus is also a nepo baby’
MIAMI, FLORIDA: David Beckham’s son Cruz Beckham has found himself in the heart of a controversy after making a bizarre comment reportedly comparing himself to Jesus Christ.
David and Victoria Beckham’s 19-year-old son, who is not new to controversy, has found himself in hot water again after commenting Jesus was a "nepo baby".

While the teenage musician has long battled controversies regarding his parents’ involvement in setting up his music career, the recent one came when he released the teaser video of his Beatles-inspired song ‘For Ya Love’ on Instagram on Christmas Day.
Cruz Beckham says Jesus was a ‘nepo baby’
As Cruz Beckham released the teaser video, he received a flurry of comments including people finding “Gallagher vibes” and “Beatles vibes” from the song. However, another group of social media users insinuated he received immense training owing to his parents’ money.

One user said, “Not bad,” before adding, “Bet he had mega money and training.” Cruz, however, refuted the statement, saying, “Not at all. Just a guitar.”
According to Daily Mail, when the nepotism accusations continued, the son of the British power couple apparently replied with, “Jesus is also a nepo baby.”
Nevertheless, less than 12 hours after making his comment, the budding musician deleted his comment from his social media.
The controversy came to the fore after it was reported that the teenager celebrated Christmas at his parents' new $72 million Miami mansion, with his 29-year-old Brazilian-German songwriter girlfriend Jackie Apostel.
In terms of his music career, Cruz switched his music management from TaP to guitar-led company C3 in May.
According to the outlet, Cruz has also worked with songwriter Ed Drewett, who has four No. 1 hits to his name this year, along with working with producer Fred Ball, known for his work with industry stars like Beyonce, Rihanna, Mariah Carey and Ed Sheeran.
Cruz is, however, not the only Beckham child to be embroiled in the nepo baby controversy, as his older brother Brooklyn, 25, also had his fair share of online bashing.
Brooklyn, who currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife Nicola Peltz, previously received backlash for switching multiple careers, including his efforts to become photographer. Later, he became a chef, and launched his own line of hot sauces.
Cruz’s second older brother, Romeo, 22, too, has expressed his desire to change career. After following his father’s footsteps to play soccer (and playing a season with Brentford and training with Beckham’s Inter Miami), he has decided to leave soccer altogether for fashion.
Romeo has reportedly set his sights on launching a career in fashion, with the backing of his mother, Victoria Beckham, who runs a successful luxury fashion house.
Cruz Beckham's alleged comment on Jesus baffles the Internet
Netizens were left flabbergasted at Cruz Beckham's apparent comment.

Some of the readers were even more cross with him, as one commented, "Such a shame they didn't emphasise the importance of education."
"Comparing himself to Jesus is he? Does he think his dad is God? I'm far from religious, but even I find that offensive to Christians," chimed in someone else.
Another user elaborated, "I fail to see how Christ was a “nepo” baby? He never used his father (God) to his advantage and even in the Garden of Gethsemane when he prayed and asked for this cup to be taken from him, he knew it couldn’t, then went on to be arrested, tortured and executed just for you and I."
"You can't expect anything remotely intelligent to come out of the mouth of a Beckham offspring. They're individually and collectively pretty much pointless," said another disgruntled user.
Some users, however, praised the song when it came out.
One user said, "Sounds very 90s. I like it. It's got a Blur/Stone Roses vibe."
Someone else noted on Instagram, "Woooow gave me Gallagher vibes 🤯👏⚡️⚡️⚡️," while another said, "Paul is that you? beatles vibes."
