David Beckham's new connection with Gisele Bundchen sparks rumors of tension with pal Tom Brady

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: David Beckham's once-solid friendship with Tom Brady could be on rocky ground as the soccer icon forms a new professional connection with the latter's ex-wife, Gisele Bundchen.

According to a source, Beckham's recent collaboration with the supermodel in a Hugo Boss campaign has raised eyebrows, potentially shifting the dynamics of their famed bromance.

With Beckham becoming a brand ambassador for Hugo Boss, more collaborations with Bundchen could be in the works, leaving Brady uneasy.

"Working with Gisele sends a clear message to the media that David is serious about establishing himself as a lasting figure in fashion and sports, and Tom might see him as a primary competitor," revealed the insider to InTouch.

David Beckham doesn't share the same competitive edge as Tom Brady

Although Tom Brady retired from professional football in 2023, he remains ambitious, focusing on broadcasting and personal brand-building. "Tom and David have long been competing for the same audience," noted the source.

Now, Beckham’s growing involvement in fashion, especially with Bundchen, could spark tension between the two sports legends.

The insider added, "While they may claim to be friends, David doesn't share the same competitive edge as Tom. He doesn't feel the need to criticize former teammates in order to maintain his success. That's a significant difference between them."

While both Beckham and Brady have no shortage of endorsement deals, the connection to Bundchen might become a point of rivalry.

After 13 years of marriage, the couple finalized their divorce in October 2022, leaving Brady particularly sensitive about their split. He was notably irked by jokes about his supermodel ex-wife during his Netflix roast.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen share two children, Benjamin Rein, 14, and Vivian Lake, 11. He is also father to John "Jack" Edward Thomas, 17, whom he shares with his ex-girlfriend, actress Bridget Moynahan.

Following his divorce from Bundchen, Brady has been concerned for the well-being of his younger children.

According to a source cited by the Daily Mail, "Tom would actually agree that co-parenting hasn't been easy. There has been a lot of love lost in their relationship, and navigating through that and their careers and finding new love has not been easy. It is safe to say that Tom and Gisele never expected to break up."

"He never wanted to divorce, especially since his relationship with Bridget ended, and dealing with that to get to a place of good co-parenting took some time," shared the insider. 

They explained, "To do it all over again has been stressful. Like everything, they will get there, because they aren't getting back together, but Gisele and Tom have gone through a bunch of sadness to be where they are now, which is leaps and bounds better than it has been."
