NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Taylor Swift's reported stalker, David Crowe, is currently undergoing a psychological evaluation to determine his fitness for trial.

The New York Police Department apprehended Crowe a few days ago when he attempted to break into Swift's Tribeca apartment. Law enforcement responded to a call regarding a 'disorderly person' trying to access the lobby of Taylor's residence.

Adding to the concern, Swift's fans were once again surprised when Crowe was arrested for the third time in less than a week near her New York City home.

This unsettling incident occurred just two hours after the alleged stalker was granted supervised release from court. Authorities are closely examining Crowe's mental state to assess whether he is suitable to face trial.

TMZ reports that Crowe, the alleged stalker of the 'Lover' singer, is scheduled for a mental examination as the judge aims to assess his mental fitness for standing trial. Legal documents obtained by TMZ indicate that Crowe, who has faced multiple arrests outside Swift's New York City townhouse this month, will undergo a psychological evaluation.

After being arrested near Swift's home just two hours after his release from court, Crowe is now confronted with a new charge of contempt in the second degree for intentionally violating an order of protection. His defense has requested a psychological examination before a potential trial, a request granted by the judge.

While all this unfolded, Swift was reportedly in the Big Apple, though it remains unclear if she was at home during any of Crowe's arrest attempts, according to TMZ. Crowe has been ordered to remain in custody.

Amid these incidents, the pop icon faced another challenge when a deepfake site circulated fake and explicit AI-generated images of her on various social media platforms.

Swifties, her dedicated fanbase, took immediate action to protect their idol. However, recent updates from sources suggest that Swift is furious and contemplating legal action against the sites involved.

Internet users assert David Crowe should go to jail

A user wrote, "If they keep releasing him he will continue to go back, when will they learn he needs to be locked up for good before it ends badly, seems like he’s not going to stop any time soon but sadly enough most cases they won’t lock him up until he does something to her just because he hasn’t harmed her yet doesn’t mean he won’t down the road. Hopefully she has bodyguards in arms reach at all times"
