David Morin Jr: Texas man arrested for choking, biting off a chunk of ex-GF's nose on learning she got job at strip

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS: A 34-year-old man from Texas has been accused of disfiguring his ex-girlfriend by allegedly biting off a portion of her nose after discovering that she worked at a nearby strip club.

As per court documents, David Morin Jr was detained on Friday, January 26, and charged with one count of aggravated assault resulting in serious bodily injury.

Information about the purported attack, which happened on July 24, 2023, was revealed in court records obtained by the Merced Sun-Star.

The report claims that although Morin Jr and the victim had been dating for roughly seven months, they had broken up two weeks prior to the incident. At that point, it is said that the accused removed his personal belongings from the victim's apartment.

On July 23, Morin Jr allegedly attempted to contact the victim multiple times, but his calls weren't returned.

As per police, he then entered the victim's apartment at around 1 am on July 24 by smashing and climbing through a window and discovered employment records that showed she had either been employed by or had applied for employment at a nearby strip club.

This caused a heated altercation between the two, and Morin Jr grabbed the victim by the throat and choked her for about ten seconds before letting go, according to WOAI.

When the ex-girlfriend tried to reach the front door, the accused is said to have grabbed her once more and bit her face, severing a portion of her nose. Subsequently, Morin Jr left the scene.

Afterward, the victim was taken to the hospital, where she was recommended to see a plastic surgeon due to the injuries.

After being detained on Friday, Morin Jr was taken to the Bexar County Jail, where he is being held on a $75,000 bond. When Law&Crime emailed his lawyer, Sharon Thorne, asking for her thoughts on the case, she did not answer.

Notably, the accused has previously run afoul of the law. According to KENS, he was detained and accused of murder in 2013, but the case against him was dropped after a crucial witness neglected to appear in court and provide testimony.

He was also detained in 2019 for allegedly beating his pregnant girlfriend, kicking her, hitting her head against a wall, and telling her he didn't want to have a child with her.

She told the authorities that the alleged attack took place roughly a year of dating, during which Morin Jr allegedly forbade her from going to work or seeing her friends.
