NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Deborra-Lee Furness, 69, has broken her silence on her split from Hugh Jackman, 56, amid rumors of cheating with Sutton Foster.
This comes as the couple finalized their divorce two years after their separation.

Deborra-Lee Furness has now spoken out about the “traumatic” journey of her 27-year marriage with Hugh Jackman, sharing her experience of gaining wisdom and growing through it.
“My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal,” Furness stated, as per the Daily Mail.
“It’s a profound wound that cuts deep, however, I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us,” she added.
Furness specifically addressed her long marriage to Jackman, saying, “This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage.”
She continued, “I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience. Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose.”

Deborra-Lee Furness emphasized that integrity and values were more important than holding onto the pain of past relationships, and breaking free was a liberating act.
She continued, “It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values and boundaries is liberation and freedom.”
She further added, “that none of this is personal,” and said, “We are all on our individual journeys and I believe that the relationships in our lives are not random.”
“We are drawn to people, we invite them in, in order to learn our lessons and to recognise and heal the broken parts of ourselves…I remain grateful,” Furness concluded her statement.
Hugh Jackman spotted with Sutton Foster after split from Deborra-Lee Furness
Hugh Jackman was seen watching Sutton Foster perform in 'Once Upon a Mattress' at the Ahmanson Theatre in January 2025.
The two were later spotted holding hands and reportedly enjoying a dinner date. This public appearance followed Sutton’s divorce filing from her husband of ten years, screenwriter Ted Griffin, in October 2024.
Furness filed for divorce from Jackman after reports suggested the couple had struggled to split their $250 million fortune.
It also came soon after reports of Foster moving her belongings into Jackman’s penthouse apartment.
“Deb is shattered knowing Sutton is making the penthouse her own — the place she poured her soul into,” a source told Australian publication New Idea earlier.
The publication reported they worked out terms regarding settlement, alimony, and future expenses for their two adopted children, Oscar, 25, and Ava, 19.
“They have worked out the details in advance and everything is ironed out,” a source told Daily Mail. “Both are coming out of this financially secure.”
Furness and Jackman were married in 1996 after meeting on the set of the Australian TV show 'Correlli'.
They announced their separation in September 2023 with a joint statement to People. “We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” their statement read.
