Scout LaRue Willis praises Demi Moore’s ‘grace and joy’ for fellow nominees
Scout LaRue Willis' mother Demi Moore has already won major awards this season, including a Golden Globes and a SAG Award.
The 96th Academy Awards will take place on Sunday, March 2, and she hopes to add an Oscar to her list of achievements.
“[I’m most proud of] her grace and her absolute joy and love for all of the other nominees,” Scout LaRue Willis, 33, told Us Weekly about her mother at Cure Addiction Now’s inaugural fundraising evening on Monday, February 24.
“She made sure to reach out personally to every other actress in the category in anything she’s been nominated in,” Willis said.
From her perspective, her mother’s approach to the awards season has been nothing short of "gracious and humble."
“She wants to use this performance and any opportunity she has to speak to be of service. That’s just who she is,” Willis added.
Demi Moore’s Oscar nomination comes after a long wait of 40 years
The 62-year-old actress is celebrating her first Oscar nomination after decades in the industry.
The last time a horror film won Best Motion Picture was in 1992 for 'The Silence of the Lambs', making 'The Substance' a rare contender, according to USA Today.
With this milestone, Willis believes her mother proves that dreams have no expiration date.

"Did you see Jane Fonda at the SAG Awards? Hello!” she said, referring to the 87-year-old actress’ Lifetime Achievement Award acceptance speech.
Willis shared her perspective on aging and perseverance, saying, “I do think it’s a choice. I really do. I think it’s a way of life."
"I hear people who are younger than me say ‘Oh, I’m so old now.’ And I met a woman when she was 93, and she told me she only came into her own in her 80s," she continued.
"I do really believe that having unwavering faith in yourself and what you want to create and what you want to do builds your reality. I really believe that," she said.
