Democrats troll Trump with 'Project 2025 HQ' projection on his Chicago building ahead of DNC
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: Ahead of the Democratic National Convention (DN), former president Donald Trump's Trump Tower in Chicago was spotted with an unusual projection that did not resonate with the Republican's campaign message.
A projection on the skyscraper on the night of Sunday, August 18, read "Project 2025 HQ."
Project 2025, a presidential transition agenda for the next Republican in the White House by the Heritage Foundation, came under intense scrutiny over its conservative policies.
The opposition to the document led Trump to distance himself from it. Feigning ignorance on the far-right controversial project, the GOP presidential nominee said last month that he "don't know what the hell it is."

On another occasion the same month, Trump said he disagreed with Project 2025 entirely, citing it was too "severe" on issues like abortion.
Besides "Project 2025 HQ", the Trump Tower was projected with other messages, including "Trump-Vance: Out For Themselves," "Trump-Vance: 'Weird as Hell,'" and "Harris-Walz: Fighting for You."
DNC takes responsibility for projection on Chicago Trump Tower
The DNC admitted they were behind the project in a statement to the Daily Beast.
Abhi Rahman, deputy communications director for the Democratic National Committee (DNC), also verified that the group reserved a room across from the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago and projected messages onto the 92-story building using a high-powered projector, according to Rolling Stone.
BREAKING: Project 2025 HQ is being projected over Donald Trump’s building in Chicago. As much as Donald Trump wants to deny his connection to Project 2025, his record proves he can’t. Retweet so all Americans see this. pic.twitter.com/jG3xC2i8Rh

"He's a grifter, and nothing we said wasn't the truth!" Rahman claimed. He added that the images were a preview of what would be different in the upcoming DNC.
Asserting Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov Tim Walz, had a strong history of supporting working families, Rahman ripped into Trump and his VP pick JD Vance, saying they were "running on their backward Project 2025 agenda."

"This week, the entire country will witness what it looks like to unite behind hope and a clear vision for a better future, as Democrats rally behind Vice President Harris and Governor Walz. While Donald Trump and JD Vance are out for themselves, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are fighting for you," the DNC deputy communications director remarked.
The Democratic National Convention is from August 19 to 22 in Chicago, where the Harris-Walz ticket will be formally nominated as presidential and vice presidential nominees.
'Project 2025 HQ' projection on Chicago Trump Tower divides Internet
Democrats projecting the controversial plan on the Trump Tower in Chicago, calling it Project 2025's headquarters, divided the Internet. While one group of netizens joined to troll Trump, another group slammed the DNC.
"This will keep Donald Trump up all night tweeting like a madman who can't find his diaper!" one user wrote.
"We all know Trump is gonna try to sue over this too?!" another remarked.
"The only people still stuck on this talking point are the Dem base," added a third user.
"Trump actually has very little to do with the Trump tower in Chicago. It mostly just has his name on it. This is a downright smear that hurts the workers who work there," read a fourth response.

"I could not love this more. That tower is such an eyesore that boat tour guides joke about it, tourists take pictures of it and either laugh or go out of their way not to pass it. It needs to go. It’s ruining one of the most beautiful parts of our city," someone else said.
"There was a great opportunity, since Trump want's to steal music for his campaigns," an individual chimed in.
"Desperately trying to get the sheep to believe their lies. Are people fooled by these deceptions? Absolutely. It's sad," another user added.
"So basically drawing attention to trump tower and advertising for them?" asked one person.
