LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sean "Diddy" Combs reportedly put his money into Elon Musk's 2022 purchase of Twitter, now called X.

The Tesla Motors CEO invested $44 million to buy the microblogging site and as per a court document made public on Wednesday, August 21, around 100 investors helped him at the time, according to VIBE.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs' investment was disclosed after a legal motion was filed by a journalism nonprofit

The names of the investors came out after a federal judge ordered X to reveal its investors’ identities following a motion filed in July by a journalism nonprofit to view the records. The motion accused the social media site of breaching their arbitration agreements.

Independent tech journalist Jacob Silverman reportedly said, "People have a right to know who owns a company with such a prominent role in shaping public discourse, both in the United States and around the world."

The court document listed Diddy’s Sean Combs Capital LLC, Saudi Prince Al Waleed bin Talal Al Saud, and Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, among others as investors.

However, it’s not clear how much money the embattled music mogul put into the business deal and if he’s still a shareholder.

Besides, there is not much information about how close Diddy and Musk have been. In 2022, they were reportedly seen together during a Dave Chappelle show.

Internet reacts to Sean 'Diddy' Combs' involvement in Elon Musk's $44 million Twitter deal

Soon after X released the names of the investors as a part of the motion, netizens shared their thoughts, particularly about Sean 'Diddy' Combs' reported involvement.

One wrote, "WE ARE ALL OWNED BY DIDDY???" and another said, "Lmao freak man owns this app."

A person joked, "We can now call it Xiddy," while one more quipped, "I'm crying this is Diddy’s app."

An individual expressed, "People be yapping in the comments about this like it’s the end of the world. Bro a 1% ownership isn’t the end of the world.😭 Anyways how much does he really own?"

"I’m sure other investors are worse than Diddy," shared one more, whereas another person wrote, "Money is often hidden... I wouldn’t be surprised if he was just part of some other fund but if he invested directly… I suppose Elon just had a mission and probably has effective control so what did it matter."

"This just means he invested in X. All investors are technically part owners of X. This does not mean Elon sides with Diddy or that X condones Diddy's diddling," remarked a netizen.

One offered, "I mean dude’s like the king of the elite rappers they all bow down to him he probably pays off the government ect… I’m sure he probably owns shares in several apps that we all use."

"Well thats one way to shut this app down. Elon wont last much longer," read a comment. A person simply wrote, "That's so ironic."
