LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ariana Grande has her fans in stitches, leaving them confused about her original voice.

The 30-year-old singer left her fans puzzled when she seemed to change her voice during an appearance on Penn Badgley’s ‘Podcrushed’ podcast, per E! News.

In a clip released from the June 12 episode of the podcast, Grande's voice noticeably changed while discussing a deluxe version of her ‘Eternal Sunshine’ album, surprising her fans.

The ‘Bang Bang’ songstress, who has long been filming her late 2024 movie ‘Wicked’ where she is playing Glinda, recently appeared on the ‘Podcrushed’ podcast where she discussed her latest musical ventures and aspirations.

In a clip from the interview, Grande humorously remarked in a deep tone that while making new music, she felt like Austin Powers, joking, "That's the only thing I thought of."

However, moments later, when asked about her future projects following her ‘Eternal Sunshine’ album, Grande's accent seemed to have changed.

Assuming a much higher pitch, Ariana said, "Yeah, I've been writing a lot. Maybe there's some more. I would like to do a deluxe version at some point."

However, the change of voice did not sit well with some fans.

Arina Grande sparks debate among fans

One of the social media users commented on Facebook, "I definitely have a relaxed voice and an 'on' voice. I used to think that was normal, and now I think it’s called masking 😅🤷🏼‍♀️💁🏼‍♀️."

Someone else said, "Do everybody really thought that high pitched squeaky voice was her real voice? I could have told yall it was exaggerated. There are people with voices like that, just not Ariana." [sic]

Another fan observed, "I don’t think she sounds that different 🧐."

A fan speculated that Ariana is struggling to shed her 'Wicked' persona, saying, "I can’t tell if it’s the fact that she’s having trouble getting rid of the Galinda voice after having to do it for so long during filming, or if she’s having a full blown identity crisis at this point. Girl is a different ethnicity every summer. Always has a new voice and new skin tone." [sic]

Another social media user commented, "She’s just Michael Jackson-ing her way thru life." [sic]

"I have a bunch of different voices. My mom voice, friend voice, wife voice, customer service voice, and daughter voice are all slightly different from each other. I don’t seen much issue with this like y’all are making," said a user. [sic]
