Don Jr's ex Kimberly Guilfoyle and new GF to attend Trump inauguration, experts predict 'tension in room'
WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump Jr's current girlfriend, socialite Bettina Anderson, and his former fiancee, Kimberly Guilfoyle, are both scheduled to attend Donald Trump's inauguration on Monday, January 20, which could lead to an uncomfortable situation.
This information was shared on the first episode of the Daily Mail's new podcast, 'Welcome to Magaland: Inside Trump's Second 100 Days', broadcast on Friday, January 17.
Donald Trump Jr's new girlfriend and ex-fiancee set to attend Donald Trump's inauguration
Supporters of the president-elect had allegedly attempted to prevent Bettina Anderson from attending, but the inauguration is set to be the first public appearance for the new couple. Kimberly Guilfoyle, who was named the US ambassador to Greece, is also expected to be there and will probably be seated near the family.
"Anderson is supposed to be there, so there will be some tension if both she and Guilfoyle are in the room," said Kelly Laco, Executive Editor of Politics for Daily Mail and host of the 'Welcome to Magaland' podcast.
Despite the potentially awkward atmosphere, Laco noted that Donald Jr and his ex-fiancee still maintain a cordial relationship.
"But from what I've seen and from what we've heard from sources, the two, Don Jr and Kimberly, still have a cordial relationship..." Laco said, adding, "She was posting for his birthday recently, sharing pics of herself with their family and the kids, sort of a big blended family with his ex-wife."
The first episode of 'Welcome to Magaland' also sheds light on who will be seated near Trump at the inauguration. Due to extremely low temperatures, the ceremony has been moved inside the Capitol.
Alongside the Trump family, VIP guests such as Amber Rose as well as performers Carrie Underwood and Billy Ray Cyrus are expected to attend.
Several of the nation's top tech giants—Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Sam Altman, and Elon Musk—will also be present.
"The 'tech oligarchy,' as Joe Biden seemed to call them in his farewell speech, will all be there supporting the new president. They are all going all sitting together, kind of representing this new tech American power," chief US reporter Germania Rodriguez Poleo on 'Welcome to Magaland' shared.
Who decided to skip Donald Trump's inauguration?
Not everyone will be in attendance, however. Notable figures like Michelle Obama and Nancy Pelosi have decided to skip the event. The podcast dives into their reasons, as well as rumors surrounding potential trouble in paradise for the Obamas.
The podcast promises to deliver daily updates on the Trump administration, with hosts Kelly and Germania providing concise, 15-minute episodes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Each episode will feature a range of political insiders, commentators, and Trump staffers for an in-depth look at the world’s most influential political drama.
Internet slams Donald Trump Jr's decision to bring new GF Bettina Anderson to father's second inauguration
Readers of Daily Mail criticized Donald Trump Jr for choosing to bring his new girlfriend, Bettina Anderson, to the inauguration, with many commentators questioning the move.
One said, "Junior should not invite Anderson to the Inauguration. It's insensitive to Kimberly, and also Anderson just wants to be seen there. Kimberly worked hard to support President Trump's campaign and she's earned her right to be there as Ambassador to Greece."
Another added, "Donald Jr should leave the socialite at home! He should bring his teen daughter Kai as his guest. She's a lovely girl & this would be the coolest daddy/daughter date ever! Plus, I read that she likes Kimberly."
"Feel so bad for Kimberly! She will win in the end!!!" a person expressed, while someone else noted, "Don junior should be forced to appear with Kimberly, it's only right."
"Don Jr should leave the girlfriend home. Not a big fan of his," read another comment.
