According to Omar's Instagram post, he wrote alongside a photo of his patient wristband at Orlando Health in Orlando, Florida, “Today yes, but tomorrow I won't have cancer. Good intentions are well received. See you.”

This announcement follows Omar's completion of the first half of his Back to Reggaeton 20-city tour across the United States and Canada in April.

The second leg of the tour includes 18 shows, starting on August 8 in Oakland, California, and ending in Belmont Park, New York, on September 15 before he returns to Puerto Rico for a series of performances.

On Saturday, Don Omar shared a video clip on Instagram of a recent audition for backup dancers for his new series of concerts.

"The most special thing about today's auditions is seeing that there are people who want to dare to dream with me," he said. "Thank you to each of you who gave your all on the dance floor! This second stage of the tour comes with everything.”

It is unknown how the cancer treatment will impact the remainder of the tour.

Don Omar is known as the 'King of Reggaeton,' and has won 17 Billboard Latin Music Awards, three Latin Grammy Awards, and one Billboard Music Award.

He also portrayed Rico Santos in the 'Fast & Furious' franchise.

His debut studio album in 2003, 'The Last Don', was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

His follow-up project, 'King of Kings', became the highest-ranking reggaeton album to enter the top 10 of the US charts.

Omar’s former manager Rafael Pina asserted, “You have not gone through any trial that is not humanly bearable. And you can trust in God, who will not let you suffer trials harder than you can bear. On the contrary, when the test comes, God will also give you the way to get out of it so that you can endure it.”

Puerto Rican Grammy Award winner Olga Tanon claimed, “'You are a warrior of a thousand battles and you will win this one too of course. God is with you as always and prayers are full of good wishes and will heal you.”'

A fellow reggaeton star Franco El Gorila dubbed Omar a warrior, “You are a warrior, one of the greatest who has not allowed life to win over you. I am rooting for you my brother and even more so I am rooting to the one above who will heal you. That's the attitude, the mind controls the body,”

A concert promoter Paco Lopez said, “A lot of faith and patience with the whole process, blessings. Praying for you.”
