STERLING, VIRGINIA: President Donald Trump was seen in a different look this past weekend when he was snapped wearing reading glasses in the back seat of an SUV.

The POTUS was pictured looking down into his lap with black-rimmed glasses while leaving the Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia, over the weekend, as reported by the Daily Mail

Despite being 79, Trump is seldom seen showing his age in public. He is the oldest president ever elected and is set to become the oldest sitting president by the end of his term in 2028.

Remarkably, this was one of the few instances in which Trump was seen wearing glasses — and the first since he assumed office for the second time. He was seen putting them on back in 2016 to read lyrics from 'The Snake' by Al Wilson during a campaign stop in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Similarly, in rare paparazzi and amateur shots, photographers clicked Trump with eyewear during his first term in 2017.

Interestingly, Trump preferred not to use his phone to create posts in public as he didn't like to wear the glasses he needed to see his screen, as per a 2019 report by The New York Times.

Some media outlets have also speculated about the POTUS' eyesight in the past. In 2016, Vice reported that many Americans noticed Trump constantly squinting and straining his eyes, commonly done to compensate for blurry vision, as per the Daily Mail.

An online comment read, "Who friggin cares everybody at that age eye site starts to get worse," while one added, "He always looks older than dirt. The glasses don't change anything."

A person also stated, "I would rather a president that shows his age than one who tries to hide it like Joey," whereas one mentioned, "I’ve been wearing reading glasses since I was in my mid-40s. You’re surprised a 79-year old wears them?"

"He still can't see what's right under his nose," an individual quipped. An admirer added, "I think the glasses make him look even better!"
