PHOENIX, ARIZONA: Donald Trump Jr claimed on Sunday, December 21, that his father, President Donald Trump, is now leading the "America First Party" and the Republican Party is a thing of the past.

During his speech at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest in Phoenix, Arizona, Don Jr said it is a new era for the conservative movement that is constantly under attack from the Democratic Party and RINOs (Republicans In Name Only).

Donald Trump Jr said during his speech, "Midterms are coming around the corner and make no mistake, the Democrat Party wants to do whatever they possibly can to shut this movement down. Not just the Democrats. The RINOs."

"You see the manufactured attacks on JD [Vance], myself, my father — anyone who understands that this isn’t the Republican Party anymore. It’s the America First Party. It’s the Make America Great Again Party. And we are not going back!" he insisted.

His remarks drew a big roar from the crowd that was followed by a "USA! USA! USA!" chant.

"I love it, guys. By the way, if someone wasn’t chanting USA next to you, you know they’re a Democrat plant, because they just can’t do it. It’s like pouring holy water on a vampire," Don Jr added.

Moreover, he urged the crowd to back Republicans — without using the term — in the ’26 midterms, as it will help his father continue to fight for "Americans feeling left behind" like "young White men".

"[Young White men] for a generation were left behind by DEI. They were told ‘Well, you know, you don’t check a couple boxes, so you may be better, you may be smarter, but you’re not getting into that college. You’re not getting that job, you’re certainly not getting a promotion. But you better damn well realize you’re privileged, despite being discriminated against.’ It’s funny, but it’s actually happening," he said.

JD Vance says Trump ended DEI

During the AmericaFirst event on Sunday, Vice President JD Vance said that President Trump had ended diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, and argued that the programs undermined meritocracy and unfairly targeted white and Asian Americans.

Vance claimed during his speech that dismantling DEI had been one of Trump’s most significant achievements since returning to office, and described the initiatives as incompatible with American values and said they promoted unequal treatment based on race and gender.

"We don’t treat anybody different because of their race or their sex. So we have relegated DEI to the dustbin of history, which is exactly where it belongs," the VP told the crowd.

Moreover, he noted that Asian Americans applying to colleges would no longer need to "talk around" their skin color, insisting that admissions and hiring decisions should be based on individual merit rather than ethnicity or background.

Vance also framed DEI as a system that punished people for characteristics they could not control, saying, "We don’t persecute you for being male, for being straight, for being gay, for being anything. The only thing that we demand is that you be a great American patriot."
