PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Former president Donald Trump sat down for a virtual interview with tech mogul Elon Musk on X (formerly Twitter) that started after a 40-minute delay due to technical glitches on Monday, August 12.

The 45th president reiterated his attacks on his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, but at one point appeared to compliment her. Weighing in on the latest issue of TIME magazine that featured the Democratic presidential nominee on the cover, Trump said that she looked like his wife, former first lady Melania Trump.

The eye-catching front-page image has the vice president sketched in black and white, surrounded by supporters holding signs with her name and the phrase "Her moment." It was followed by a story titled 'The Reintroduction of Kamala Harris' by Charlotte Alter that hailed her for pulling off "the swiftest vibe shift in modern political history." However, Harris denied an interview for the cover story.

"She's terrible," Donald Trump said of Kamala Harris during his live interview with Elon Musk, the Daily Mail reported.

Nevertheless, he noted that his rival made it onto the late TIME cover.

"She looks like the most beautiful actress ever to live. It was a drawing. And actually, she looked very much like a great first lady, Melania," the real estate mogul said.

But further into the conversation, Trump mispronounced Harris' name, calling her "Camilla" instead of Kamala.

"She didn't look, she didn't look, she didn't look like Camilla," he added, distorting the vice president's name with King Charles III's wife, Queen Consort of the United Kingdom, Camilla. "That's right. But, of course, she's a beautiful woman, so we'll leave it at that, right?" Trump remarked.

Though technical issues plagued the interview, which Musk blamed on a DDoS attack, more than two million users tuned into Trump's Space on X, where the interview lasted over two hours.

Besides showering praises on the Tesla CEO, the former president employed his usual tactic of attacking President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris while asserting the success of his own presidency.
