JUPITER, FLORIDA: Donald Trump's campaign team faced mockery when it came to light that they kept a cardboard cutout of the former president's wife, Melania Trump, in their Jupiter, Florida office.

Ron Filipkowski, the editor-in-chief of MeidasTouch, shared a photo from the supposed office that displayed several signs bearing the names of Trump and his running mate, JD Vance, alongside a life-size cutout of the former first lady, as per OK Magazine

The ardent critic of the ex-POTUS captioned his X (formerly Twitter) post, "At the Trump campaign office in Jupiter, FL, they have a cardboard cutout of Melania there since she won’t show up for anything herself."

Internet in splits over Melania Trump's cardboard cutout at Donald Trump's Jupiter campaign office

As Ron Filipkowski's post went viral, netizens joked about Donald Trump's team needing a cardboard replacement for Melania Trump as she refuses to be a part of his campaign trail.

One remarked, "Omg imagine having to order a cardboard cutout of your own wife because she literally can't stand to be anywhere near you," and another quipped, "He has one in his bed too."

A person wrote, "I guess you can use the cutout until you can afford to pay Melania's public appearance fee," with an individual saying, "This is embarrassing and she should be ashamed but she isn’t."

"In fairness, that Melania cardboard cutout is most likely Trump's because he hasn't seen Melania in ages. Can't blame her!" joked one more.

Someone else said, "Even the cardboard cutout of Melania displays more emotion than the real one."

Melania Trump expected to remain disengaged from public sphere even if Trump is reelected

According to a former White House insider, Melania Trump is not expected to have a significant public presence if her husband, Donald Trump, is reelected for a second term as she does not need to emulate Jill Biden's approach, as reported by Daily Express US.

Throughout Trump's presidency, she was viewed as the most disengaged first lady in the nation's history.

Following her husband's tenure in the White House and amid his ongoing legal challenges and reelection campaign, she has remained largely absent from the public sphere.

Insiders have informed the press to anticipate a continuation of the current situation should he emerge victorious in November.

During his current campaign, her name was rarely mentioned until the CNN debate, where President Joe Biden threw a jab at his opponent. He said, "You had sex with a porn star while your wife was pregnant," referring to his alleged affair with Stormy Daniels, adding, "You have the morals of an alley cat."

Unlike earlier years, Melania wasn't present by her husband's side during the first presidential debate

Amid much speculation, the former first lady did make a rare appearance on the last day of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee for her husband's speech.
